When I read your post I felt that those shadows you have hunted are not fleeting, but traces that speak of love and resilience. The verse of Silvio Rodríguez came to my mind: “At the end of this journey in life there will remain a cure of time and love, a bandage to wrap an old pain…”. In those words I find the emotion awakened by the images and by the words that accompany them: the certainty that, even in the midst of difficulties, there is always the possibility to heal and to move forward.
What you share reflects the strength of Cubans, that ability to reinvent themselves and to keep faith that the crisis surrounding us will be overcome. As Arjona said in Puente, what is ours can be hard to understand, but it is explained in gestures like this: parents easing the path for their daughter, continuing to bet on life and on love.
With hope and faith, I wish long life to you, to your family, to Cubans and to all humanity. May this journey we share always be accompanied by time, love, and the certainty that a better horizon awaits us.
Al leer su publicación sentí que esas sombras que usted ha cazado no son efímeras, sino huellas que nos hablan de amor y de resiliencia. Me vino a la mente el verso de Silvio Rodríguez: “Al final de este viaje en la vida quedará una cura de tiempo y amor, una gasa que envuelva un viejo dolor…”. En esas palabras encuentro la emoción que despiertan las imágenes y las palabras que las acompañan: la certeza de que, aun en medio de las dificultades, siempre queda la posibilidad de sanar y de seguir adelante.
En lo que usted comparte se refleja la fuerza de los cubanos, esa capacidad de reinventarse y de mantener la fe en que la crisis que nos embarga será superada. Como decía Arjona en Puente, lo nuestro a veces resulta difícil de entender, pero se explica en gestos como este: padres que alivian el camino de su hija, que siguen apostando por la vida y por el amor.
Con esperanza y fe, le deseo larga vida a usted, a su familia, a los cubanos y a la humanidad toda. Que este viaje que compartimos esté siempre acompañado de tiempo, amor y la certeza de que un horizonte mejor nos espera.
