A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words/Looking at others

As he sticks his head out of the window of one of his owner's luxury cars, Rocky watches some people walking their dogs in a nearby park. He thinks, "I'd feel better running alongside those other dogs. I appreciate my owner, but I prefer to be with other dogs."

Mientras asoma la cabeza por la ventanilla de uno de los lujosos coches de su dueño, Rocky observa a unas personas paseando a sus perros en un parque cercano. Piensa: «Me sentiría mejor corriendo junto a esos otros perros. Aprecio a mi dueño, pero prefiero estar con otros perros».

Rocky is a pet much like his owner; he's always well-groomed and clean, something he enjoys. However, his owner doesn't allow him to be near other dogs, and although he appreciates it, he finds it a bit boring. He can't express it, but his attitude sometimes gives him away.

Rocky es una mascota muy parecida a su dueño; siempre está bien cuidado y limpio, algo que disfruta. Sin embargo, su dueño no le permite estar cerca de otros perros, y aunque lo agradece, le resulta un poco aburrido. No puede expresarlo, pero a veces su actitud lo delata.

The owner stops the car, they arrive at a wide-open space, full of nature; it's the farm, a place that is not unfamiliar to him. Rocky quickly gets out and starts running. Suddenly, a another dog appears, they look at each other and begin to play. The owner calls him, but he doesn't respond, which annoys the owner, who approaches both dogs and scolds Rocky. Rocky looks at him and decides to run away and disappear forever from that place and from the oppression of a man who thinks animals should act like humans.

El dueño detiene el coche y llegan a un espacio abierto, lleno de naturaleza; es la granja, un lugar que le resulta familiar. Rocky sale rápidamente del coche y empieza a correr. De repente, aparece otro perro; se miran y empiezan a jugar. El dueño lo llama, pero no responde, lo que molesta al dueño, quien se acerca a ambos perros y regaña a Rocky. Rocky lo mira y decide huir y desaparecer para siempre de ese lugar y de la opresión de un hombre que piensa que los animales deberían actuar como humanos.
