On Saturday, December 6, a group of women entrepreneurs participated in the Women's Empowerment Christmas Bazaar. The venue was the usual one, at its headquarters in the Casa Rosada in Barquisimeto, a colonial house with a lot of history that currently serves as a center where women receive training and start businesses, thanks to the support of Anyie Hernández, general director of Poder Femenino.

It is now customary at this time of year to hold the usual bazaars, where small businesses from different sectors showcase their products and services so that, during this season of gift-giving, people can buy something to give to their loved ones.

El sábado 6 de diciembre, un grupo de mujeres emprendedoras participó en el Bazar Navideño de Empoderamiento Femenino. El lugar fue el habitual, en su sede de la Casa Rosada de Barquisimeto, una casa colonial con mucha historia que actualmente sirve como centro donde las mujeres reciben formación y ponen en marcha negocios, gracias al apoyo de Anyie Hernández, directora general de Poder Femenino.

Ya es habitual que en esta época del año se celebren los bazares habituales, en los que pequeñas empresas de diferentes sectores muestran sus productos y servicios, para que en esta época del año, en la que se suelen hacer regalos, se pueda comprar algo para regalar a los seres queridos.

The bazaar began at nine in the morning and lasted until approximately five in the afternoon. There was little transportation in the city that day due to problems with public transportation and the cost of tickets, but that did not deter those who attended this year's Christmas bazaar.

There was a good turnout of women entrepreneurs. Most of them were participating in a bazaar for the first time, and some had started their businesses only a couple of months ago. They sold makeup, beauty products, accessories, sportswear, scented candles, sweets, cookies, etc.

El bazar comenzó a las nueve de la mañana y duró hasta aproximadamente las cinco de la tarde. Ese día había poco transporte en la ciudad debido a problemas con el transporte público y al coste del billete, pero eso no supuso ningún impedimento para quienes acudieron al bazar navideño de este año.

Hubo una buena participación de mujeres emprendedoras. La mayoría de ellas participaban en un bazar por primera vez y algunas habían iniciado sus negocios hacía solo un par de meses. Se vendían productos de maquillaje, productos de belleza, accesorios, ropa deportiva, velas perfumadas, dulces, galletas, etc.

Throughout the day, there will be presentations with guests covering different areas: personal development, business, marketing, etc. I arrived early because I had to go to the cosplay event afterwards.

I arrived before Diana Quintero's talk began. She is a marketing and social media specialist, and she gave talks to entrepreneurs, highlighting the important points of having your business on social media and some tips that would be very useful for everyone. One of the entrepreneurs does not have her business on social media and therefore finds it difficult to gain new customers.

A lo largo del día habrá presentaciones con invitados que abordarán diferentes áreas: desarrollo personal, negocios, marketing, etc. Llegué temprano porque después tenía que ir al evento de cosplay.

Llegué antes de que comenzara la charla de Diana Quintero. Ella es especialista en marketing y redes sociales, y dio charlas a los emprendedores, destacando los puntos importantes de tener tu negocio en las redes sociales y algunos consejos que serían muy útiles para todos. Una de las emprendedores no tiene su negocio en las redes sociales y por eso le cuesta ganar nuevos clientes.

I went to each of the stalls to see the products they were offering, ask them about their business, and take photographs. There were several activities planned for that day, but it was almost noon and I had to leave.

I forgot to ask if this would be the last bazaar or activity of the year for Poder Femenino, but even if it were, there are still three weeks left in the year and there is time for them to organize another bazaar. I will keep an eye out to see if they publish anything about another bazaar.

Fui a cada uno de los puestos para ver los productos que ofrecían, preguntarles sobre su negocio y tomar fotografías. Había varias actividades planeadas para ese día, pero ya era casi mediodía y tenía que irme.

Olvidé preguntar si este sería el último bazar o actividad de este año de Poder Femenino, pero, aunque así fuera, aún quedan tres semanas para que termine el año y hay tiempo para que organicen otro bazar. Estaré atento a ver si publican algo sobre otro bazar.
