Yesterday I was invited to the 17th anniversary event of the Star Dance academy. The owners of the academy are also the ones who organize the Chica Top Venezuela and they were celebrating the 17 years they started with the academy of dancers, which has been consolidating over the years. 17 years forming girls and young women in the world of dance in a very special way.
The place to celebrate was the Auditorium of the Government of Lara State. I arrived punctually at 3 o'clock in the afternoon and people had already begun to enter. A few minutes later the event began.
The theme of the inauguration was the circus, so the young people of the academy were dressed in circus costumes. Very colorful and with a lot of rhythm, this set the tone for almost all the presentations, which were excellent, both in the children's, youth and elite categories.
Ayer me invitaron al evento por el 17 aniversario de la academia de baile Star Dance. Los dueños de la academia son también los que organizan el Chica Top Venezuela y estaban celebrando los 17 años que empezaron con la academia de bailarines, que se ha ido consolidando a lo largo de los años. 17 años formando niñas y jóvenes en el mundo de la danza de una manera muy especial.
El lugar para celebrar fue el Auditorio de la Gobernación del Estado Lara. Llegué puntual a las 3 de la tarde y la gente ya había comenzado a entrar. Pocos minutos después comenzó el evento.
El tema de la inauguración era el circo, por lo que los jóvenes de la academia estaban vestidos con trajes circenses. Muy coloridos y con mucho ritmo, esto marcó la tónica de casi todas las presentaciones, que fueron excelentes, tanto en las categorías infantiles, como en las juveniles y de élite.
Other academies and dance groups from the city were invited and performed. The directors of these groups received awards from Star Dance.
Coinciding with the anniversary celebration was the grand finale of a contest they hold every year, the Best Dancer contest. Each of the participants gave a performance, they had one minute to perform on stage. I thought all the performances were excellent, especially that of Michael Jackson.
A jury composed of professionals from the city's dance world was in charge of evaluating each contestant. It was surely quite a difficult job, and they all did well, but only one could be the winner and the lucky one was a young man who gave a performance in tribute to Venezuela and its traditional music.
Otras academias y grupos de danza de la ciudad fueron invitados y actuaron. Los directores de estos grupos recibieron sendos reconocimientos de Star Dance.
Coincidiendo con la celebración del aniversario, tuvo lugar la gran final de un concurso que celebran todos los años, el de Mejor Bailarín. Cada uno de los participantes hizo una actuación, tenían un minuto para actuar en el escenario. Todas las presentaciones me parecieron excelentes, especialmente la de Michael Jackson.
Un jurado compuesto por profesionales del mundo de la danza de la ciudad fue el encargado de evaluar a cada concursante. Seguramente fue un trabajo bastante difícil, y todos lo hicieron bien, pero sólo uno podía ser el ganador y el afortunado fue un joven que hizo una actuación en homenaje a Venezuela y su música tradicional.
As soon as the award for best dancer was presented, the show went on. There was a lot of dancing to be presented.
I loved the performance of one of the guest academies, who performed a montage of The Little Mermaid. The costumes and choreography were great. I have forgotten the name of that academy, but I will find out later because their show deserves to be appreciated.
En cuanto se entregó el premio al mejor bailarín, prosiguió el espectáculo. Había mucho baile por presentar.
Me encantó el espectáculo de una de las academias invitadas, que representó un montaje de La Sirenita. El vestuario y la coreografía eran geniales. He olvidado el nombre de esa academia, pero lo averiguaré más tarde porque su espectáculo merece ser apreciado.
The dance shows did not stop, as soon as a group finished, the next one came out. Urban music, Venezuelan, pop, different genres and with very striking choreographies. Everyone enjoyed the show.
At the end all the members of the star dance academy went on stage to receive the awards and began to receive decorations and promotions within the organization. The parents of the girls were excited and everyone was very happy for the big anniversary celebration. I left before the ceremony was over because it was getting late, but the show was top notch.

Los espectáculos de baile no paraban, en cuanto terminaba un grupo, salía el siguiente. Música urbana, venezolana, pop, diferentes géneros y con coreografías muy llamativas. Todos disfrutaron del espectáculo.
Al final todos los integrantes de la academia de baile estrella subieron al escenario para recibir los premios y comenzaron a recibir condecoraciones y ascensos dentro de la organización. Los padres de las chicas estaban emocionados y todos muy contentos por la gran celebración del aniversario. Me fui antes de que terminara la ceremonia porque se estaba haciendo tarde, pero el espectáculo fue de primera.

El baile, definitivamente para mí, la expresión mas poderosa que hay, siempre he dicho que soy una bailarina frustrada 🤣🤣🤣 me hubiese gustado pertenecer a una academia de baile de la talla de Mary Cortez o alguien así 🥰🥰 excelente post.
Yo soy malo para el baile, estuve en adolescente en un grupo de danza folclórica y no funciono jajaja. Si me gusta ver las coreografías. Gracias por pasar y comentar
Nunca he tenido la oportunidad de ver estos espectáculos de danza artística, aunque en ocasiones veía los documentales del circo "du Soleil". Era como ver algo hipnótico, no sé, esa gente mezclaba una música con movimientos que terminaban enganchando los sentidos.
¡Que genial esto! Mucho color y ritmo. Tal como dices, debió ser una dura tarea para el jurado.

An impressive celebration of the dance academy's 17th anniversary, full of colour and rhythm and with a theme as colourful as the circus. The photographs are beautiful and there are many groups performing. I especially liked everything related to The Little Mermaid, and I imagine that the Michael Jackson theme must have been spectacular.
I think dance is for everyone, but I believe it is very creative for children and helps them develop a lot. I liked the variety of dances, the colours and the atmosphere. I imagine it must have been very difficult to choose and decide, as all the performances were excellent, but that speaks precisely to the excellence of the teaching at the academy. Me parecen muy entretenidos este tipo de eventos, esmerados en sus trajes, en sus coreografías, en cada detalle que los hace verdaderos artistas. Muy bonito. Y las fotografías quedaron lindas.

Excelente vestuario y si los bailarines están a la altura es un gran espectáculo, las academias venezolanas tienen mucho talento en sus miembros, sea de cualquier edad, muy buenas fotografías @jcrodriguez
