A City of Fear.

▶️ Watch on 3Speak

I escaped through a collapsing building and witnessed the harsh reality of the dictatorship. After reuniting with Lita, we ziplined over a massacre and ran through the burning city toward an escape boat. Dani helped an old lady and a kid board before they fled.

I tried a zip-slide to get away from the area quickly. I wish I could show a good view of me sliding down in the photo mode, but the camera does not give me good views during such fast actions.

As I was on the run through the structure, the floor suddenly collapsed in a rhythmic way. I fell down hard and landed right beside a large window. It was a very close call, and I had to get back on my feet quickly.

I jumped through that window to keep moving. When I was escaping through the rooms, I noticed two ladies inside who were very frightened.

They had a portrait of the president on their wall, which told me it is mandatory for every citizen to have a photo of the dictator in their home, or maybe they were just supporters.

After reaching the side of the building, I looked down and noticed soldiers on the street below. They had several people held at gunpoint. Those citizens were being searched thoroughly.

I was trying to reconnect with Lita after we were separated earlier. I almost got caught by the bright flashlight of a chopper while I was moving across a roof.

I finally found Lita on my way later in the mission. From our high position, we saw some soldiers who had a group of people held at gunpoint. It looked as if they were going to open fire on the civilians at any moment.

We tried the zipline to get across the gap. While we were sliding right above them, we noticed the soldiers actually opened fire and shot all those people down. It was a terrible sight to witness while we were hanging in the air.

We reached the street at last, and the first thing I noticed was a car on fire. It looked real cool with the ultra-realistic detail of the flames dancing in the dark.

I stopped for a second to look at the fire before continuing my escape through the smoke.

Our escape boat was close by, so Dani suggested we should run while the city was still on fire. I could see a big statue of the president was tied with ropes while I was running ahead. It looked like people were trying to pull it down during the chaos.

Approaching the boat, Dani found Marco, who was checking tickets for the passengers. He was not allowing an old lady and a kid to get on the boat. Dani made it easy for those people to get through, and all of them finally walked toward the boat to leave the city of fear behind.

How about we continue in another post?

Watching that massacre from the zipline while being unable to help was a brutal piece of storytelling. That scene was absolutely haunting to witness.

Yeah, it hit harder than most action moments, cause I didn't have anything to do about it.

It is a heavy realization seeing that portrait in the home. Whether it's fear or support, it really builds that atmosphere of a strict dictatorship.

Totally. That small detail says a lot without words.

The scene with the civilians was very sad. Watching the soldiers shoot them while you were on the zipline felt very shocking. It showed the harsh reality of the world and made the story very serious and deep.

Your photography of the burning car and the city chaos are striking. You have a great eye for capturing the darker moments of the game. The fire effects in this game look incredibly realistic
