Hello to everyone in this community and street art lovers! After a long time without anything to share (because I just wasn't going out, haha), I'm finally back to the weekly contest with an interesting find I made in the city of Barquisimeto (Venezuela), specifically in the city center. I'm here on vacation, and among my to-do list, I always make time for urban exploration. Every time I come, I'm surprised by a new mural or one I hadn't noticed on my previous walks.

If I remember correctly, I think I saw this mural on my previous visit while I was on the bus, but I didn't have the chance to get off to photograph it. So, I had to take advantage of the opportunity before it was too late. Sometimes, I jot down the addresses of murals I see while traveling in my notebook so I can photograph them later, but this time, I didn't need to. After seeing it, I was able to go back downtown a couple of days later and made sure to get off at the nearest stop so I could take pictures.

I've noticed that the more centrally located a mural or graffiti is, the more likely it is to be covered up (this has already happened with works I've shown before). Not to mention, some deteriorate quite quickly, as happened with a mural I really liked that was fresh about four months ago. Seeing it recently almost made me cry, because the paint was peeling off, ruining the design... It's a shame I couldn't photograph it at the time, because it had several cats on it and I thought it was so cute and colorful 😿

But anyway, getting back to the mural in this post, it looks amazing. Its vibrant colors look beautiful from afar, and even more so up close. It was created this year, 2025, by CREW. My favorite part is the face and that turquoise glow it has, as well as that "electric" effect it gives off, as if the two graffiti pieces on either side are emerging from its head. I love it! 💚

Very close to this mural, there's also a graffiti piece that I took the opportunity to photograph. Without further ado, I hope this new year is full of street art for all of us 😌 Happy Holidays! 🎉✨

¡Hola a todos los integrantes de esta comunidad y amantes del arte callejero! Luego de una larga temporada sin encontrar algo para mostrar (porque no salía jaja), finalmente vuelvo a sumarme al concurso semanal con un interesante hallazgo que me encontré en la ciudad de Barquisimeto (Venezuela), más específicamente en la zona centro. Me encuentro aquí de vacaciones y entre mis cosas por hacer, siempre dejo un espacio para la exploración urbana, pues cada vez que vengo, me llevo una sorpresa con algún mural nuevo realizado o que no había visto en mis caminatas anteriores.

Si mal no recuerdo, creo haber visto éste mural en mi anterior visita mientras me hallaba en el autobús, más no tuve la oportunidad de bajarme para fotografiarlo. Así que, tenía que aprovechar antes de que fuera demasiado tarde. En ocasiones, suelo anotar en mi libreta las direcciones de murales que veo mientras voy en vehículo, para irlos a fotografiar después, pero esta vez, no tuve necesidad de ello, siendo que luego de verlo, pude ir al centro de nuevo un par de días después y procuré bajarme en la parada más próxima para poder tomarle sus respectivas fotografías.

Me he dado cuentra de que, mientras más céntrico se encuentre el mural o el grafiti, más posibilidades tiene de ser cubierto (ya ha pasado con obras que he mostrado con anterioridad), sin mencionar que algunos se dañan bastante rápido, como ocurrió con un mural que me gustaba mucho y que estaba fresco hace unos cuatro meses atrás y en estos días al verlo, casi lloré, pues la pintura se estaba cayendo a pedazos, acabando con el diseño... es una lástima que no haya podido fotografiar ese en su momento, pues tenía varios gatos y me parecía muy lindo al ser tan colorido 😿

Pero bueno, volviendo al mural de esta publicación, luce estupendo. Sus colores vivos se ven hermosos a lo lejos y ni qué decir de cerca. Fue hecho éste año 2025 por CREW. Mi parte facorita es el rostro y ese brillo de color turquesa que tiene, así como ese efecto "eléctrico" que desprende, como haciendo emerger de su cabeza el par de grafitis que están a su costado ¡Me encanta! 💚

Muy cerca de éste mural, también se encuentra un grafiti que también aproveché de fotografiar. Sin más que agredar, espero que éste año nuevo esté lleno de arte callejero para todos nosotros 😌 ¡Felices fiestas! 🎉✨
