CCC's Street Art Contest #293 (ENG-ESP)

Hello to the whole community. A few months ago, I was in Alamar (Habana del Este, Cuba) and I noticed a mural painted on the ground floor of a building.

The landscape they painted really stands out because of its vibrant colors. It has such a natural visual narrative that it feels relaxing just to sit in the community park and look at it. This mural was created in 2024 by an artist whose name remains unknown, though he was hired by a former neighbor to bring some life to the neighborhood.

​I think it’s a beautiful, natural, and very human work of art. This type of urban art brings a sense of freshness to public spaces, telling stories and conveying human values and a connection with nature. I believe that, just as there should be more trees, there should also be more educational street art in every corner of the city.

Hola a toda la comunidad. Hace unos meses estuve en Alamar (Habana del Este, Cuba) y me percaté de un mural realizado en los bajos de un edificio.

Llama mucho el paisaje que pintaron por sus colores vivrantes. Tiene una narrativa visual muy natural, por lo que resulta relajante quedársele viendo mientras uno de sienta en el parque de la comunidad. Este mural fue confeccionado en 2024 por un artista cuyo nombre nadie conoce, aunque fue contratado por un antiguo vecino para darle vida al barrio.

Me parece una obra muy bonita, natural y muy humana. Este tipo de arte urbano le trae frescura a los espacios públicos, contando historias y transmitiendo valores humanos y de conexión con la naturaleza. Creo que, así como debería haber más árboles, también debería haber más arte callejero educativo en cada rincón de la ciudad.
