Prompt: Worry

Image from unsplash

On the morning of my graduation, I sat on my bed with my dad's photo, wishing he'd lived to see the day. My mom walked into the room with a smile on her face.
"Don't you worry, girl. Daddy is proud of you," she said, drawing me into her arms.

This post is a response to the ZapFic50 contest, where we're expected to test our creativity by writing a story in precisely 50 words. If you'd like to write with us, you can start by reading the rules for entry here.

Second image is a screenshot I own.

THANK YOU FOR VISITING MY BLOG!🤗

So touching ... I remember that a world-famous athlete once won a championship and cried on the floor of the locker room because it was the first that his father did not witness ... it can be so hard ... but the mom in this story knew just what to say. Good story!

Oh, dear! I want to say that I remember your name from a couple of years back on hive, and it makes me so happy to run into your account again! I mean, you ran into mine. But still, it's good to see you're still here, supporting other writers as you used to. Thank you!

To add, I understand how hard that moment must have felt for the athlete. I hope that at this time, they would've found peace in the cherished memories. I'm also glad that my story reflected a less grievious outcome. Thank you for stopping by.🤗

Yes, still here ... not as much time as I used to have ... caring for aging parents ... but still here!
