Ehm… have you ever watched that anime that totally messes with your feelings? Try to guess. Yup, it’s Anohana! You know that, the title: Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae o Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai. (Yeah, I still mess it up sometimes, hihi). The title's long, sure… but the emotions it leaves behind? Waaay longer. Like, you’ll feel it days after. Hikss, still not over it...
🌼 WHAT'S THE STORY? 🌼
This story begins with a boy named Jinta Yadomi, formerly the leader of a gang called the "Super Peace Busters" (admit it, you used to have a gang like that too 😄). But now Jinta is a hikikomori, aka a homebody, his life as dull as instant noodles that have been boiled for too long.
Until one day... BRAK!
She looks like a gentle girl out of a dream—white dress, flowing hair, soft eyes, and a smile so warm you almost forget… she’s no longer alive.
Menma returns as a ghost, but not to scare you. She has one last request—but she doesn't remember what it is. Only Jinta can see and hear it. (Yes, spooky but cute hihii💀💗)
Jinta's mission begins: reuniting his childhood friends, who have now transformed into teenagers full of hidden wounds. One by one, they reunite, and little by little, past memories and long-buried guilt begin to surface...

This has been one of the most emotional anime I've seen lately, in fact I think some tears came out at the end of the story. It is a very beautiful story and it is a very well done anime and even the animation is very well done.

This was the first anime that broke my heart in a thousand pieces 💔😢 I saw the final scene several times and in all of them I cried like a pig haha it is such a touching and unfair anime, Menma was so sweet and innocent, but her story makes you see death in a different way, as a life lesson and a learning, very beautiful 😢
That's right, Menma teaches us that death is just a tragedy, friendship remains eternal even though we live in another world. 🥲

This phrase always shatters me. It might be positive from the series' perspective, but it's just so bittersweet. I still cry every time I watch this. But I'm willing to have my heart broken more than a dozen times. It's one of the best animated series from those years... maybe more than 10 years ago?
Yes, that's right, that was the climax of the series. And I cried so hard, as if I were one of them. And yes, this series is over 10 years old, but the story is still fresh in my mind.
