Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX: A teenage girl's rebellion tears apart the galaxy - anime review.

‎Hello everyone! ‎Hope you are all fine. So today I have something new to tell you about a new anime I have watched, the title of which is not very similar to my ears; Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX. It is a series that is experimental, stylish and thought-provoking and was aired in the month of April 2025. At the same time, this anime began to air on the Nippon TV and BS11 channels in Japan since April 9, 2025 and had 12 episodes, concluding June 25, 2025. It is also being aired worldwide on Amazon Prime Video; it has subtitles and dubs in various languages. Hope you like my review.

‎Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX is a totally new undertaking in the Gundam series, where an ordinary schoolgirl Amate Yuzuriha is involved in a sudden fight of illegal Mobile Suit fighting arena, the Clan Battle. During this battle he yanks a strangely powered mobile suit, GQuuuuuuX, that holds loads of hidden powers. Kazuya Tsurumaki the director of the series, had earlier on produced legendary anime like the FLCL and Evangelion. And the screenplay is done by Yoji Enokido and Hideaki Anno a referrence to those two names by itself is enough to see that this is not a regular Gundam but a whole new different kind.This Clan Battle is not an ordinary war. Here, different groups or “clans” fight each other with mobile suits to show their power, pride and control. It’s a bit like a game, but it’s life and death. When Amate first got into the mobile suit called GQuuuuuX, I immediately understood—this girl would never be the same again. There was fear in her eyes, but she still moved forward. It moved me a lot, because we too make decisions in life that we are afraid of, but we still have to move forward.‎Nyaan’s character is great. He lives alone, speaks little, but when he speaks, it seems like he understands everything. He has his own goal, a past that slowly comes to the fore. He is pulling Amate into this world of war from one side, and also trying to protect her from the other. Their relationship was very beautiful, being a little distant, coming a little closer, saying a little, not saying a little. If love means being silent next to someone, then this was it.

‎As the story progresses, it becomes clear that there is a bigger game going on behind this Clan Battle. Political power, power struggles, attempts to control people by using technology as a weapon it's all here. I feel like these parts are much more similar to real life. We all live in some kind of Clan, with oppressive rules and unwanted responsibilities. From that point on, Amate's fight became my own fight.‎The animation and sound to this anime can be described as in one word, extraordinary. Each scene is a kind of a movie. When GQuuuuuuX is foaling in the sky, his body is burning with light and it really seemed to me that I saw everything with my own eyes. The sounds, lights and sounds, all of it make a storm of emotions during the battle. The music intensifies every scene peaceful when people are happy,n funereal when people are sad and high-coloured when people are in battle.‎It is also one of the best features of this anime not to deceive us. Neither does it give all the answers, but on the contrary, we are taught how to think. It leaves much to think about and I need to discover the answers. To say, take the case of Amate; does she really fight on her own volition or is she carried like she is a toy of someone? Is Nyaan a hero or does she act out of her own interests? All these reasons make us intact with the series.‎Amate transforms over the course of time. The little girl who blogged out of fear at the start of the movie now has her own choices to make, risks to take and mistakes to make and learn. This was the greatest victory to me in him. The whole trip is Gundam GQuuuuuuX really a self discovery story in which you have to realize the fears you did not allow yourself to see, the limits that you did not permit yourself to perceive and the strengths that you have that you did not give yourself credit to know.

‎What is the most surprising is that Gundam GQuuuuuuX does not deceive its viewers. It narrates at a leisurely pace, says little it makes the audience think, it makes the audience feel. It poses certain questions whose answers are difficult. That is, does Amate want war? Or is he really seeking what to sweep away a vacuum? And Nyaan--Revolutionary or another used face?‎After the series completed I had an empty feeling. Not only because a story was closed but because something of that doubt in Amate, continued in me. Gundam GQuuuuuuX made me understand the ugliness of war, but that is not all that it did, it also made me re-think about people, relationships, fragility and courage. It is an anime that it is not just ends once heard with the eyes, but in the heart.

‎The anime had the effect of me coming out of some kind of stupor. It was some sort of emptiness yet peace. Since I could see a narrative that was not only about robots and war but also about people, relationships and the saga of splitting up and putting together. This scene of the last scene of Amate and Nyaan as they simply gaze at each other with no words being said--that is what the whole anime is about. You don t have to tell everything, you should have some feeling.
