Story&Summary

The main character of this story is an innocent child named Hiiragi. Hiiragi is a quiet and very polite boy. Hiiragi fulfills his duties on time. He even listens to everything his parents say and tries to be polite all the time. The biggest problem here is that because he is too polite, he keeps his emotions to himself and cannot share his emotions with anyone. As a result, he suffers from loneliness and his desire to make friends is not fulfilled. Suddenly one day during the summer vacation, Hiiragi makes a big decision. He wants to change himself. He wants to do something on his own for once. For which he will make his thoughts a reality. At that time, a mysterious girl named Tsumugi comes into his life.

On the other hand, it is seen that the girl who came into Hiiragi's life is not an ordinary girl, she is actually an oni. Tsumugi lost her mother when she was young, for which she decided to find her mother and punch her. For which she came to the human world to find her mother. Since she is new to the human world, she cannot adapt to this society. Her behavior is strange. She does not understand human rules and she has horns that make her different from everyone. But still she is a very lively and emotional girl. Hiiragi and Tsumugi meet under strange circumstances, but even then they embark on this exciting and emotional journey together.

The reason they travel together is that Tsumugi wants to find her mother and Hiiragi wants to change himself, so their journeys become one. They face many challenges as they go on this journey. Since Tsumugi is an oni, she is very afraid of the human world, but she suppresses her fear and shows herself to be brave. On the other hand, Hiiragi gradually understands how to express her desires and how to make true friends. The journey is very exciting. On their journey, nature, magic, the oni race, and human emotions all mix with each other. At one point, Hiiragi learns that the emotions that are suppressed within him are a kind of power and that he can use that power to help Tsumugi.

Finally, after many battles, Tsumugi finds her mother but she realizes that her true place is now in the human world because here she has found the meaning of her life. Hiiragi and Tsumugi bring changes to each other's lives. Hiiragi becomes more confident and brave and Tsumugi understands the meaning of love and friendship. The expectations of his family, the pressure of society, and the complexity of personality formation during adolescence are shown very subtly.
