my little winter sketch

hey guys so I’m joining the sketchquest contest and it’s basically about sketching anything that inspires you, like real life stuff or some random photo you saw somewhere, and for my drawing today I kinda got inspired by this feed that kept showing these really cozy winter artworks and I don’t know why but it made me want to try my own version even though I wasn’t sure how it would turn out but yeah I ended up making this one

It started like a quick draft of a house with this roof. does not hold a lot of promise but I kept drawing

This is already looking neat and had some potential so I spent another hour polishing until the beautiful trees in the background were formed nicely.

This is my favorite part, drawing the festive lights. I want something from the past those old vintage kind in three different basic colors. The snow is really difficult for me to draw it gets messy when the brush choice is a lil luminous. Getting the details right for the internal environment is very challenging but I love it look closer for you to see and appreciate it

I’m still learning and trying new things and sometimes it shows because some lines go weird and I just let them, but I kinda like it that way. Anyway, I hope this sketch feels cozy even with all the snow swallowing everything.
