FLASH TO THE RESCUE

Marvel fans might not like to read this post but whatever. I am a big fan of the flash, I remember watching him while in the hostel then. I remember how he inspired boys to come out in the rain to shout “lighting strike me”. Although I didn’t come out then, I wished it too. The only thing I didn’t like about the series was that it became too fictional after season 5, too much science and a lot of viewers could no longer catch up. Seemed the producers ran out of story lines. But then again, one thing that made be really like the show was the realization that speed could be used to do more than running. For Superman, it was just about being faster than the speed of sound, for the flash, it is creating the impossible, and the fact that he’s not some alien from another planet makes me even like him more. If I was ever in trouble, I would wish to be saved by the flash, and if I could be any super hero, I would love to be the Flash especially for the reason that I would be able to time travel. This is something not even superman could do with all his speed, or maybe the writers didn’t just give him that power lol. For the fact that there is a speed force at all, where speedstars can tap into makes it even more thrilling for me.

Speed for the flash is something else. If paraventure the flash could not save me, he could reverse time to the point where I wouldn’t even need saving. He could also travel to the future to see if he succeeded in saving me or not, and if he didn’t, he would change his plans and go back to check if it works. The flash also has speed thinking that can make him think about all the possible ways to save me and test run them in his head to see if his plan works or not. The flash can make the impossible possible. One of the most thrilling parts of the flash series is when he went to the future accidentally for the first time and saw his wife die. What made it hard for him was that his villain was a time remnant from the future and every move the flash made or thought of was past to him. So at that point his future was the past of his enemy. I guess great powers just come with great responsibilities and villains.

I also like the flashes speed healing which makes it hard for him to die, and if for any reason he is about to die, he could run into the speedforce where past present and future exist together, he heals himself, gains more speed and comes back to continue the fight. The great thing about it is that the opponent would not know when he does all that because all the opponent will see is the flash running. This means the flash can always keep up with any opponent and no matter the stamina they have once they tire out, the flash will still be at full strength. This makes him one of the few opponents that can challenge even superman. Because he doesn’t need strength when he could go back in time to get kryptonite that would weaken superman. Don’t get me wrong, I love superman, I just prefer the flash. The flash understands his weakness, and he is versatile in using his strength which is why I really like him.
