MY VACATION SWEET BITTER EXPERIENCE

(Edited)

Happy weekend everyone, I hope your week went well.

Holidays are times allocated for rest. For students there are both long-term breaks and short breaks or one can say vacations. Vacation time can mean different things to different people as there are no particular ways to spend vacations. When I was much younger during vacations my mother will take us to the farm to help clear the weed in the farm and if it was harvest season we use the time to do some harvest and prepare Garri for the family. Then we don't buy garri from the market because we have the raw materials. We also harvest coconut from our farm eat as much as we could and sell the remaining.

    Best Holiday

The holiday I can attach best to was the one I went with my son to visit my sister-in-law in Jos Plateau State Nigeria. It was fun-filled because we had to visit some family friends and everyone wanted to carry my boy because he was so quiet. You know when children are tender they can be so quiet. We stayed for about 6 days then returned to our base. I didn't feel like letting go of the environment because the environment was so accommodating and the heat was not much.

 What I Learned
  • It is good to spend time with family and friends because it strengthens the bonds of brotherhood

  • Relaxation is good so that we will not break down

  • Sharing is caring

        The Worst Holiday

Hmmmmm, the one I can relate to my won't holiday here was my trip to Enugu to speed some time with my uncle. On our way, we had a serious accident. Some of the passengers broke their legs. It was so bad that I was carried out from the car. It was not easy for me at that time because it was my first time traveling that distance and I just finished my SSCE. I was offered the option of returning home to be treated or continuing the journey and the money with me was not so much. So I was praying for help to come. Thank God it came. Met a man with a Hilux that offered to take me to Enugu so that I can get another to my destination.

  What I Learned
  • Be nice to people you meet daily because you don't know how it will return to you, maybe not you will benefit from the best but your children.

Am glad that in all everything later ended well and am alive to share the story with you.

Thanks for visiting my blog. This is my entry for the hive learners week 25 edition 3 contest.

I can see why you love jos environment, it tends to be cool over there even when the whole country is hot like hell, but it gets worse during cold seasons.

Thank God for saving your life in that accident. It's also a good thing you came out of it without any serious injuries

That sounded like quite an emotional rollercoaster of a trip! I really appreciate how openly you shared both the highs and the lows. It's a reminder that vacations aren't always picture-perfect, but they can still be meaningful. The part about adjusting your expectations and trying to find the silver lining really hit home for me. It actually made me reflect on a similar experience I had while staying in one of the local houses for rent in Palm Springs, California, a beautiful place, but not without its own surprises. Sometimes, it's those unexpected moments that teach us the most. Thanks for being real about it!
