The Big, Fat, #HCDGraz Recap! .:. Hive Creator Days, BuzzParty, Graz 2025!
Time has come... Almost everyone has created their #HCDGraz meetup recap posts, so it's time that I do it too... π Even @bil.prag has posted his professional photos from the event, so I can steal some of them as I suck with taking them... π As more time passes by, my short memory is losing valuable information, so let's do it...
You have probably read many recaps, and you probably know everything about the event... I have also hosted a #HHHLive show with this event as a main topic, and people shared some cool photos during the show, so if you are curious, you can check out the recording here... In the show, I have mentioned the official agenda and all the activities during the event... You can also check out the official live stream recording here...

New Hivian going to #HCDGraz without knowing how awesome Hivians are!
In this post, I have tried to cover EVERYONE who attended the show, but I may have missed someone... Of course, I didn't do professional photos, and I was mostly involved in different conversations, forgetting to take photographs... Because of that, I didn't take photos of a few people... Luckily, @bil.prag did that, so I borrowed a few of his photos that you can find at the end of the post... So, EVERYONE is in the photos, except for 2 persons who wanted to keep their privacy...
Let me present the Hive gang...
The event was a blast! This time, I will not describe day by day, but rather describe person by person... This was the company at my table on the first "official" dinner (we had an unofficial at Day 0)... Usual suspects at the table, @bil.prag, our "official" HIVE photographer! That guy is super-awesome! This was our 4th encounter, and as you get to know him, you like him more... π On the left, another old buddy, @cryptospa! I met him for the first time at HF Amsterdam, and after that, I met him at ALL meetups... π Btw, on HIVE, he was one of the first people I met when I joined the chain!
At the same table, you can see my 2 onboarded Hivians, @mipiano and Ana, who joined us on this trip from Spain to learn more about HIVE! @mipiano was giving away cool "kindness rocks" (check out her community here) to all participants, which was very well accepted by everyone! Cool pebblestones with HIVE logo are all around the world now!

POS - Proof Of Schintzel! - second one!
Same place, other table... In Graz, I met some of the Hivians for the first time. For example, @stayoutoftherz joined the event, but unfortunately, he stayed only for 1 day, and we didn't have much time to talk... You can see in this photo @reiseamateur (guy with the HIVE cap), who was our local host, and he did most of the "on-ground logistics"! It's not easy to take care of 1 kid, and you can imagine how it is to take care of 30+ Hivians!!! We didn't lack food, shelter, good times, walks... He took care of most of that! HUGE THANKS!!! Sitting in the back (on the left), you can see 2 more (non-Hive) people, who were helping out with catering and organization... Until just a few days ago, I didn't know that they were Reise's family! Thanks to them, too!

professional at work
Oh, man... This guy... I met @minigunner for the first time at HiveFest, Amsterdam, when he and @artakush came back to HIVE, launching their @coldbeetrootsoup project! Besides the soup that we tried there, I had no idea what it was and what they wanted to accomplish... But, today, oh boy... They are everywhere!! Doing a lot of HIVE marketing on Web2 and the chain, helping dapps to get more visibility, collaborating with other projects, onboarding businesses, etc.
It was nice to meet @minigunner again (3rd time?) and his "little version", his son @dovycola! He came to the event with a son, by a long train journey, and he still had energy to do not one, but TWO presentations! And presenting not HIS projects, but OTHER projects!!! AMAZING! Unfortunately, he couldn't stay through all the event and we didn't have too much time for a talk this time... But, we will do that online... π

Worldmapping team holding the line!
The presenter in this photo is @seckorama, doing his presentation of Ecency... Another Hivian who took the initiative to showcase the product that he uses! This was our second encounter after HiveFest in Split, and we did have a few talks during this event! It's always nice to see you, buddy, and I hope we will meet again soon at the next Hive meetup!
Oh, what do we have here on this photo... A few HIVE champs... π The closest to the camera is probably the one everyone can recognize, our own Hive Wizzard, @gandalf (or @gtg) The Gray (or maybe The Great! π)... On the previous two HF I attended, we didn't have time to talk too much, but this time, we had... No, it wasn't just HIVE talks, but many other, unusual, life talks... Yes, we can talk about different things at these events, not just HIVE... It's not prohibited... π
There are people that you meet and after a while, you forget how you met them... And there are people that you EXACTLY know when you met them for the first time, the encounter, until the tiniest details... For example, I know exactly the moment when I heard the voice of @alessandrawhite, and I remember very well her presentation from last year's @BuzzParty in Hamburg, and especially her words of support BEFORE my first-ever presentation that I did there! I'm grateful to have someone like her on my HIVE journey!
The guy who is talking with her is one older Hivian who found us somehow, but I didn't catch his username, so if someone can drop it in the comment section, that would be great... Also, an apology to that person I didn't engage with... Behind him is @bitterirony, Alessandra's rock! We didn't have many talks this time, but hopefully we will catch up at the next event! Still remember that last day in Hamburg, when our small group was "last men (and women) standing", or better said, sitting in the bar we found on the 3rd attempt... Good times! π

photographer got photographed

the most energizing team at the event - Worldmappin!

Who's hand is that?

Whose head is that? π
And the person without all this wouldn't be possible, @tibfox!!! The creator of @BuzzParty, the initiator of these meetups, and the source of the energy behind them! The guy you can't hate and the guy who will always pleasantly surprise in some way... After the first BuzzParty in Hamburg, when he announced this one, I was 100% sure the tickets would be sold out fast, as we had such a good time in Germany!!! And it was like that!
It's amazing to see such a group of people attending this event and the last BuzzParty, who were gathered around firstly because of the love for HIVE, and secondly, we knew that it would be a blast as @tibfox was behind doing organizational work! Thanks, man, for everything you do! You are appreciated! π
Oh, who we have here... The guy in the white t-shirt... Yes, that's @edje, my wife's and my "adopted" son... π We decided to adopt him at HiveBeeCon in Krakow, where he got "lost" 2 (or it was 3) times... Everything that happened after that is history... We met in Hamburg, where he was my roommate, and now, for the third time... We were joking that you are our adopted son, but without joking, you are part of our family! π

I came late to take this photo, but it was a "blockchain" of people taking photos of people taking photos... As you can see, I was the 5th block... π
The legend in creation, or.. already a Hive legend... Tell me your opinion? @ninaeatshere is one of those people who always add some fuel into the fire, or maybe better said, she is like an accumulator where you plug your phone and it gets recharged! So much energy in that girl, and I have no idea where she gets it... (I suppose from food, as she likes to eat good food! π) First time, I met her in Zaragoza, at a small meetup that we set up, after that in HiveFest, Split, and this time... It's amazing to notice how much she has grown and how much value she has added to HIVE through projects and initiatives where she takes part, or that she started! Amazing! Kudos to you, Nina!
@godfish is a guy that I wanted to meet multiple times in the past... Firstly, we missed the opportunity to meet in Krakow, after that in HF Split, and finally we got it in Graz! If you know him from chatting here on HIVE, he is the same in real life... Likes good jokes, spreading good vibes, and he's a great guy to spend time with! It was a pleasure to meet you, and I have no doubts we will meet again! π»
After an unsuccessful attempt to converse in Hamburg, we finally found the common ground to walk with @ynwa.andree... Struggling with words, with the help of technology with translations, we had a few talks in Graz! We have to leave some of it for next time!

Chillin' in the park

Chillin' in the park, but in another place, gathering with the second part of the group
Oh, you got it! The guy in the red HIVE T-shirt is the guy who was sitting behind the computer on the day of the presentations! I met @quekery in Amsterdam, but we didn't have time for a talk that time, but we fixed that in Hamburg... This was our 3rd encounter and despite he wasn't the whole event with us, we got a few talks in (and around) the park and presentations...

The Beer Guardian - one of the mascots of #HCDGraz, Sheila, the dog!

Is everyone ready for a @CleanPlanet morning?
As I suck with taking photos, this is my only photo of @nonsowrites (the first guy from the left)... He wasn't aware of the event at all until he saw the live-stream of presentations on YouTube! As he was near our "Hive Basecamp", he came to greet everyone, and he joined the event! What a great surprise for him, but also for all of us! It was nice to meet you, buddy!

There are better photos of these two, but I had to pick this one to write about them... You can see in the photo @livinguktaiwan with her husband, a split second after their kiss on these "romantic stairs" in Graz! π I spoke about family many times in this post, and I can say that it is a true pleasure to meet them at every event... We always have so much fun, so many great talks, and we spend quality time with each other!
Speaking of family, there is another couple in the background, @growandbow and @llunasoul, whom I like to hang out with at these events! Maybe this time we didn't spend that much time, but I know that there will be next time... You guys rock, and you always add spice to these gatherings... Love your energy!

On the right is our special tourist guide (I think his name is Cyril) in Graz, a very interesting and funny guy...

From left to right, growandbow, masterswatch, and bil.prag
I met @masterswatch for the first time in HF, Split (or was it in Hamburg?), but for some reason, I thought he didn't know English very well as he was hanging out with German guys, talking in German... But, I was wrong, which you probably know if you saw the Worldmappin presentation, where he did a tremendous job!!! Young, full of energy! Exactly what we need on HIVE!!!
Moving forward to @honeydue! We met for the first time at HiveFest, Split, where we had an interesting talk on my last day, when I was already on the way to catch my plane back home... It was like a conversation that finished with a comma, so we had to meet again in Graz, and probably in future events... To write the whole book! It's amazing when you meet people who have "that spark", and she is one of those! See you at the next event, Cat!

after a dinner, and a very looong day... but the day wasn't over yet...
I remember taking a similar photo in Split and seeing how great this one is, I regret not taking more like this... Or is the photo so great because of these pretty ladies in it? Two of these came with me from Spain. How lucky am I to travel in such company?
I think I didn't share anything about our special guest at the event, Ana! She was traveling with us to the event... After the first day, she was overwhelmed by the amount of information about the HIVE, and maybe a bit scared of everything... But, after day 2, all that changed, and she was "assimilated" by Hivians! π I hope you hear more from her in the future... I opened a HIVE account for her a few months ago, when I reserved her a spot for the event, but I still have to show her the first steps and use of keys... I hope we will do that soon, and until then, you can follow her account @ratona.
You have probably noticed there are a few people with a "covered face" in the photos... Some people want to keep their privacy, and they have asked to be blurred in the photographs... I'm not sure if we can mention them in the posts, I will skip that... You guys know who you are, and it was a pleasure to meet you...
As I suck with taking photos, I didn't get everyone on my photographs, and I will spare a few from big photo collection of @bil.prag (btw. check out his post with the rest of the super quality photos from the event here).

I saw these two guys at HiveFest, Split, but as there were over 100 people, I didn't have a chance to talk with them... In Graz, we fixed that, and I had great talks with @tinabrezpike and @marjanko... Luckily, we were sitting at the same table at one of the dinners, and we were talking mostly about HIVE, Splinterlands, and many other topics! They were also locals in Graz, and they helped out with translations and some sightseeing info! It was nice to talk with you guys!

Speaking of locals, @elmirabear was one of those, too! She led us on a night walk around the part of the city where we would never go (in those hours), and gave a different perspective of Graz! I'm always curious about the "ordinary" stories and parts of cities I visit... Despite meeting her in Hamburg and Split, having a lot of talks at both events, I was surprised when I heard her talking in one of the (very peculiar) languages that I speak!!!π She is also one of those whom I had a special "connection" from the first encounter in Hamburg...

Speaking of family... I always say that HIVE is a big family, but we did have one "real" family at the event! @jocieprosza and @asia-pl decided to bring their kids to the event and show them the "Hive world"! π I have one kid, and I remember how it was to run around (and behind, chasing) him when he was 2-3 years old... Imagine these two champs chasing TWO kids around the event! We met before in Krakow, but this time, we had more time to talk and connect, as much as the kids allowed them...

Look at this face... She is radiating good vibes! I met @akipponn at HiveFest, Split, especially because Nina said I have to meet this awesome girl! I remember good times at the bar on Split's promenade... This time, she prepared special food for participants, promoting her Food & Culture community! Thanks for doing that, Akippon! It's always nice to see you at these events!
If you have reached this point, I can tell you only HUGE THANKS! You are a champ! π
Sorry (not sorry) about this huge post, but I had to highlight all these great people that I met in Graz! You guys are awesome, and I can't wait for the next meetup to hug you again and to spend time with you! If you don't follow them, you have to do it!
If you aren't in one of these photos, what are you waiting for? When you see the next Hive meetup announcement, reserve your spot and hit that train/car/plane to get there!
See you!!!
Thank you for your time.

Once again, that was one hell of a party! And yet it's just a memory :) Thanks for the headcount, it's like if you wanted to sell us somewhere :) "Look at this guy, how cool he is, don't you want to take him home??"
I do want to sell us! By showing how great the HIVE community is IRL, I hope more people will join us and have fun at some of the next meetups!
Also, you have to admit that we were a cool bunch of people in Graz.... π I didn't exaggerate in the post! π»
See you at the next one! πͺ
Sure! Whoever attends a Hive Meet Up cannot resist going to another one :) Provably addictive!
That is a fact! Most of the people I met in Graz, I met on other meetups for exactly that reason! We got hooked on meetups! π
Jaaaaajajaja sΓiii, eso parece! π€£
:)
So, you did your recap too! I need more hours in a day hahaha, so I will do my one too. The great time we all had together, the laughter and good energy we had - this Buzz party will stay for a long time in our memory. π All cool and beautiful people!
Thank you, this is the best photo of me from the entire event π
I know that many will think that I exaggerate with the comment about people in the post, but they were ALL cool and beautiful people! π
JAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJA

It was a big party time, that's for sure!
I hope we will meet at one of the next meetups! π
would be nice maybe the next hive meeting in holland i will be there .
Wow that took really a while to read it all, but it was nice to see who was who on hive π also to be respected who doesn't want to be shown, afterall hive is about anonymous
Indeed easier 1 kid than 30 hiveans π
Do you have plans to attend some of the next HIVE meetups if you can come? I do not doubt that you would enjoy it!
I can't really with the small kid and limited holidays at work... Next holidays August
We had a couple with TWO kids attending... So, it's not impossible... π Anyway, maybe one day when your kid grows up! π
Great post Zoltan and you take some great pics! Good to put some faces to names I know.
Thank you very much! I have to do better with the photos next time... Or just leave that part completely to professionals like @bil.prag :)
The photos were fine and went well with the commentary.
So aweome seeing the people with their tags! Amazing all in itself. I am so used to seeing just the username and whatever picture they chose for their account. But this was great and very human!
Thank you! I'm aware that maybe the title is a bit a clickbait as I didn't write about the event itself, but about the people... In the end, there will be no event without these awesome Hivians that attended!!! π
Oh indeed. Its all about people. That is how we remain human in this advancing world!
Bravo you guys! I felt proud of HIVE while reading your post. HIVE obviously is more than a blockchain rewarding posts π
It is more than just an ordinary blockchain! I don't know any other place where people would gather around like this and have fun! π
i must say i never saw more photos of me in one place :D
Great recap. see ya soon :D
He got yaaaaaaa! πΈπ
π
Hehehe... Mission accomplished! π
Hahaha oh sure, we have to hurry so that our memory doesn't play tricks on us and we lose details of what we lived, but you see, some of us are quite late even writing these recaps, one simply can't manage to write too little.
I loved that! I think I could appreciate the change @ratona had from the moment she arrived, open minded but hesitant, to when she finished everything and told me she felt like really joining the whole thing. This is how to Hive!
Aw such a great way to talk about the Meetup, a refreshing and very witty twist to your recap. what a great idea!
Wow look how slow I am, I hadn't got to thinking that the gift pebbles that @mipiano made are scattered all over the world now, what a lovely thing to think about.
---> π€£π€£π€£π€£ #POS π€£π€£π€£
Β‘Me encanta!
The funniest thing about the photo where you talk about Gandalf is that everyone is looking at his cell phone! But what were we all doing except you?
Hamburgβs "last men (and women) standing" was THE best!
Thank goodness, I was planning to take the camera from @bil.prag again to take a portrait of him like during the HiveFest and I let the opportunities pass me by! But the one that comes out best of all is the Chillin' in the park one, such a natural smile you captured!
Blockchain is hard enough without trying to replicate blocks of people taking pictures of people taking pictures, we tried but we need to get rid of the wow factor hahaha.
And now... it's my turn! π I plan to come back to this post every time I feel my self esteem low β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ is just that thanking you sounds like so little after all the nice things you've written for me.
Oh you know when reading βlegendβ I really think is that βI've created a monsterβ hahaha because yes, you are the one who has created that monster/legend, you are the one who has boosted that βaccumulatorβ suggesting me ideas, challenges, possibilities. Whenever I dive into an adventure inside Hive I think βhahaha what will he thinkβ because you were the one who made me believe that I could bring valuable things to Hive. Yes, you are like my big brother in Hive and I say that with total honesty.
Ok, let's stop blushing and move on...
Exactly! It's just hard to understand until you get to know him, exactly himself. He is just beyond description.
Cyril, the tourist guide had me confused because I kept thinking he was Santa Claus himself. I swear I spent the whole time imagining him in a red suit with a sack of presents!
What an apt literary way to describe your encounters with Cat, that represents her perfectly.
hahaha @llunasoul I didn't realize how lovey-dovey you and @growandbow are in the out of focus photo of elmirabear! β€οΈ
Hey and don't apologize for long posts, there will always be some of us who really enjoy your great way of narrating events and I'm not just saying that because of the nice things you say about me π hahaha but because you know how to get the hang of each one and you manage to describe quite well that basic component of our ecosystem which are, of course, the people who shape it!
Huge thanks to you! For making me smile so much throughout the whole post, even reading the comments below from others hahahahaha.
And he took us to see the hidden snowman... hmm...
Chillin' in the park is a good one.
This is my normal photo face, and i like that one too :D
Don't challenge this guy to a staring contest! :)
ππ€£
Okay, so you are trying to write a comment even longer than my long post? Is it another competition that I will lose? π
Thank you for your kind words, as I already said numerous times, I'm glad you got "stuck" with us on HIVE! πͺ
Don't want to "put you down", but those times will come... We all have our doubts sooner or later, and if this post helps you to come back to the positive side, that would be awesome! There will be people who will piss you off (if there was none), but you should always remind yourself about the rest of peeps, like these who were with us in Graz... All great people, worth pushing and supporting! π I got many times in a gutter and these meetups helped me a lot... Maybe that's why I'm searching new one over and over again, to strengthen my "positions" and to collect positive vibes...
You are welcome and happy to hear that it made your smile! π

Whenever I see posts from people like this and all the people are ready to meet each other, it makes me so happy because we have been working with each other on this platform for a long time.
This platform is run, survived, and nurtured by people and the community... There is nothing similar or close to something like this that we have on HIVE! πͺ
Ohh!!! ππ what a great event and marketing, how I would like to participate in an event of this level in hive. All well original, organized and high level in interested in supporting blockchain.
How nice that you share to be images with us @ph1102, the truth are well professional.π€π»π€π».
Greetings to all and a great weekend bro ππ»ππ»ππ»ππ» Many successes ππ€π
Thank you very much for your comment! I hope you will be able to attend a similar event to this one... If you can't wait to fo that, you can organize a meetup with your Hivian friends near you... You only need at least 1 more person to make it! π
Haha, love the love, my friend! That HiveFest in Amsterdam where me and @artakush
dropped the @coldbeetrootsoup bomb... Man, we were just getting started! Now weβre out here spicing up HIVE all over Web2 and the chain, hyping dapps, teaming up with projects, and onboarding businesses like itβs a party!
We always love a good presentation and promote our community. We will try to visit you on Discord on wednesdays. Not an easy time of the day, but we will try π
Literally, I had no idea what you were planning to achieve when you did it... Luckily, you knew... π
Thanks for taking the time to check out the post! π
Wow, it looks like a lot happened during the meetup. It's nice to see everyone get along, and I love how technology has made it easier to communicate with people despite the language barrier.
We had a fantastic time, and there is no barrier that Hivians can't conquer! πͺ
Same familiar faces, one big Hive family, it's true, these meetings are addictive. Thanks for sharing. π
They are addictive! I like to see more Hivians addicted to meetups! It means more fun for everyone and more happy faces... π
I agree, but I don't want to see it become like a cult... π
It looks like it was a great event similar to Hamburg. Awesome to see so many Hivers together IRL.
It sounds like Reiseamateur did a great job organising. Good to see you managed to get some Schnitzel while you were there π
Yeah, it was similar to Hamburg... I like HiveFest, but these smaller events are more personal, which gives them a special "effect"! π
Oh, man... I had 3 Schnitzels in total (some of them were double), and I think I will take a break from them for the next month or two... π€£
That was a huge post, man! I'm so glad you had such a great time there, I hope you can do more for the next Hivefest. Maybe promote the Liotes project? It's great that you met so many Hive users. I wish I could be there and meet people, that's one of the things I love. It feels great to do activities with people you just met and slowly discover your common tastes with them. @bil.prag should be our official photographer lol he is very good at it.
Well, I would like to go to the HiveFest, but that is still "in the air"... It is very far away, and it costs a lot to get there... Maybe if Liotes gets into the Top 30 Hive Witness, we can finance that trip from the project? π Jokes aside, I haven't yet decided if I will go or not... My other half doesn't want to go, so not sure if I will take the whole trip alone... We will see...
Btw. Do you plan to go to the HiveFest? It's not that impossible to go out of Turkey... π
Bil.prag is already our official/unofficial Hive photographer! Always happy to see him on the list of participants, as I know that there will be some great photos of the event!
Thanks for taking the time to check the post! I hope you got a few smiles and had fun reading it and checking out the photos...
I smiled like dozens times man! That post was just amazing.
I don't think so because I'll be just married and probably will not be good as financially π Still trying my best for next Hivefest in Turkey
Kuala Lumpur is a perfect honeymoon destination! π π π Take you girl with you!
Okay I'll take a look to date and do my best. I really want to join at least one Hive fest in my life
Phew! That was a very long one. It must've taken you days to talk about almost everyone that attended, and thanks for a comprehensive roundup. I noticed you've not really made a comprehensive post about the event until I saw this one. I guess I was expecting it.
Most of the folks are older folks, something you wouldn't know unless you met them in real life, just like this opportunity in GRAZ.
I noticed someone's face was covered with an emoji in one of the pictures, perhaps the person didn't want to be doxxed..
Sorry about that... I will not do it anymore... Until the next Hive meetup recap... π
Wait... What do you mean by "older folks"? Like, I knew them from before, or like, we are old gradpas and grandmas? π
And yes, some people stated that they don't want to be photographed, or if they are, to keep their privacy by blurring or covering their face... Which is perfectly fine, and everyone respected that!
Ohh what a fantastic recap of an even more fantastic get-together. I was so glad to see you again and to get to spend some time with your two lovely onboarded Hivians β₯οΈ big smile reading through this and some great snaps in there! Thank you for those. Hugs!
Thank you very much for your kind words! π
Happy to hear that! Mission accomplished! Smiles granted! π
Omg, you are too kind to me ππ. What a nice hivians recap π, it was so great to see you again (yes, first time was Split), and actually connect this time. I can't wait for next time!!!
Your presentation was top-notch! Let's see when we will meet again... Kuala Lumpur, or somewhere else before? π
Kuala Lumpur, would be really nice but I probably won't make it πππ so maybe sometime for that.
Yeah, KL will be a tough one for me too... Not sure I will make it either...
