RULES & HOW TO PLAY

For this Musical Monday I would like you to share a SONG that you feel matches the PHOTO. What song does the PHOTO look like?

It could be realistic, opposite, funny. Pick something that you think I would like.

  1. Share your SONG in the comments below. (A link to a song is best.)
  2. Only one SONG per post.
  3. Remember that you’re appealing to me.
  4. Submissions are due by: Wednesday morning.

I've played this game a bunch and the most memorable songs have been songs that i've not heard before that I continue to listen to to this day. Witting and funny are also good... but songs that connect emotionaly AND are worth listening to for years to come are the big winners.

I will be giving HIVE TIPS to winners which will translate to PhotoGames points on the Leaderboard

Because of the cat in this photo, I had to think of Bohemian Catsody ...
It's more on the funny side, esp. if you own a cat. 😁

The photo shows a powerful and emotional humanitarian moment in a refugee camp in Lebanon. A young child, seated on a low concrete wall, is at the center of the frame. The boy appears to be around 5 years old, wearing a worn, oversized red jacket that looks too big for his small frame, suggesting hand-me-downs or donated clothing. His face is smudged with dirt, and he stares directly into the camera with a serious, almost weary expression—eyes tired beyond his years.

Behind him stretches a bleak, dusty landscape of makeshift shelters constructed from corrugated metal, plastic sheeting, and scraps of fabric. The environment is sparse and harsh, with no greenery or signs of comfort. Other children are visible in the background—some standing, others sitting—also dressed in worn, ill-fitting clothes. The lighting is harsh daylight, casting strong shadows, emphasizing the dry, arid conditions and the raw reality of life in the camp.

The atmosphere is one of quiet resilience. Despite the hardship etched into the surroundings and the boy’s face, there’s a dignity in his gaze—a silent strength. The image was taken as part of a Hope Humanitarian mission in 2021, aiming to document the living conditions and human stories behind the refugee crisis in Lebanon.

It’s a portrait not just of poverty, but of endurance, childhood under duress, and the quiet courage of displaced families. The moment feels intimate, respectful, and deeply human—capturing a life shaped by forces far beyond a child’s control, yet still present, still looking back at the world with unflinching eyes.

What song matches this? One that carries sorrow, hope, and quiet strength—maybe “How Long Will It Take” by Michael Franti & Spearhead, or “Beds Are Burning” by Midnight Oil. But the real answer depends on what stirs your soul when you look into that child’s eyes.

What does it say to you?
