Hello creatives,

It is my absolute pleasure to bring this extended November run of SketchQuest to a close. Thank you to every single artist who joined us. Your seven entries were thoughtful, heartfelt, and absolutely beautiful. Watching you transform everyday inspiration into beautiful creations of your own has been quite fulfilling and magical for me. After careful consideration based on Creativity (40%), Inspiration Story (30%), and Effort (30%), here are the winners:

1st Place – 3 Hive @banini

Creativity (40%): Turning a quiet, slightly boring café wait into a self-portrait of an artist quietly observing the world is an intimate take on “something from your surroundings.”
Inspiration Story (30%): The caption is pure poetry a slow, dreamy consciousness that makes you feel the wobbly chair and the gentle rhythm of an unhurried afternoon. It’s one of the most alive pieces of writing I’ve seen in any contest.
Effort (30%): Clean lines, thoughtful color choices, and perfect compositional balance show real care and skill while still feeling effortless and authentic.

2nd Place – 2 Hive @tinster

Creativity (40%): Taking your previous festive piece and deliberately hiding it behind dense, dark pines is a brilliant twist almost like a “before and after” story told in one image.
Inspiration Story (30%): The caption beautifully explains the intentional contrast and the desire to create a secret, solitary atmosphere; it adds a layer of depth in the story.
Effort (30%): Strong composition, good use of light peeking through the trees, and confident line work all demonstrate serious skill and passion.

3rd Place – 1 Hive @steembake

Creativity (40%): An abstract shape and a favorite color, then spinning it into a joyful purple-antlered reindeer wearing a hand-knitted sweater in a misty forest is quite imaginative
Inspiration Story (30%): The enthusiastic caption walks us through the entire playful process from the spark of the shape to the decision to make the reindeer happy and warmly dressed.
Effort (30%): Bold color choices, lovely textured fur and sweater details, and a perfectly whimsical expression all show heartfelt time and love for creating.
