Vibes Web3 Music Competition Week 37|| Imela by Nathaniel Bassey (Cover by @pretemi)
Hello vibe fams🤗
I'm @pretemi,I am so glad to be here and I welcome everyone to this wonderful week 37 of our weekly music competition. Today, I will be dropping my video and I will like to tell a quick backstory of the process 😁
I completed my final exams recently and it was actually a challenging time during the exams period, I had to give it all it takes in terms of my time, energy and full commitment but at the end of it all I'm so grateful to God for how far he has brought me. When I wanted to make this video, I was so uncertain and curious about the song to choose, the sound of my voice because I didn't have my voice training routines during the exams period but in between everything I was so grateful to God that I have finally finished my tertiary education.
However, in the middle of my thoughts, "Imela" by Nathaniel Bassey just popped up in my head. This song made me reminisce about how faithful God has been through out the thick and thick of my years in school. I'm forever grateful to God for where He brought me from, where I am and where He is taking me to.
"Imela" means thank you, truly my God is worthy to be praised. Please join me as I celebrate my God and my King for being so good to me😁

LYRICS
Verse 1:
When I think upon your goodness;
And Your faithfulness each day
I’m convinced it’s not because I am worthy –
to receive the kind of love that You give.
But I’m grateful for your mercy,
and I’m grateful for your grace
And because of how You’ve poured out Yourself,
I have come to sing this song out in praise
Chorus:
Imela, Imela (Thank You! Thank You!)
Okaka, Onyekeruwa (Great and Might creator of the world)
Imela, Imela, (Thank You! Thank You!)
Eze m Oh (My King)
Verse 2:
Who am I to sing Your praises?
Who am I to worship You?
It’s Your blood that makes the difference in me
And made a way to enter into Your throne
I could not come near Your presence
I could never sing Your song
But the sacrifice on Calvary’s tree
is the reason I can cry out today
Chorus:
Imela, Imela (Thank You! Thank You!)
Okaka, Onyekeruwa (Great and Might creator of the world)
Imela, Imela, (Thank You! Thank You!)
Eze m Oh (My King)
Eze m Oh (My King)
Refrain:
Onyedikagi? Ekene diri gi(Who is like You? All Glory belongs to You)
Onyene mema (He who does good)
Onyedikagi? Ekene diri gi (Who is like You? All Glory belongs to You)
Onye nagworia (Mighty Healer)
(Repeat)
Chorus:
Imela, Imela (Thank You! Thank You!)
Okaka, Onyekeruwa (Great and Might creator of the world)
Imela, Imela, (Thank You! Thank You!)
