The holiday season is coming, and honestly, every year I think less about material gifts and more about the things that people really need but don’t usually ask for. For today's post I choose the prompt question of ma'am @elizabethbit

If you could give a gift that has great potential to do good for this holiday season, what would it be, who would you give it to, and why?

If I could give a gift this year, something with real potential to do good, I would help the old and poor people like Ivana Alawi. I want to be her for one day. If you watch her vlog you'll know that she has a kind heart. Her million views; she's trying her best to return it all to the people in her kind and unique ways. I imagine my self buying foods and packing it. Go to "Home for the Aged" and personally gave it to them.

Not something wrapped, but something that stays with a person for a long time. The experience of being surprised and being helped.

I would mostly give it to old people, children with cancer and most especially old woman the tired, quiet, soft-spoken ones who always put themselves last. They cook meals for their family even when they are exhausted. Who smile at their children even when their hearts feel heavy, who secretly cry at night but wake up early the next day like nothing happened. I feel like many of us forget that mothers are human, too. We get overwhelmed, we get scared about the future, we break down when no one is looking.

If I could give this gift, it would be like a warm blanket on a cold nights. Something that tells them, “You are doing enough. You are strong even when you feel weak. You deserve rest and care, too.” Sometimes, hearing that at the right moment can save a person from completely giving up. Emotional support is free, but for some reason, it is also the rarest gift people remember to give.

Thank you so much ma'am @marsdave for the wonderful words. In reality when the right comes I know I already helped myself before I help others. It's always free to dream my kids that I wanted to help the elderly

I signed up for volunteer work at a Senior's facility. A lot was just socializing and spending time with seniors with issues and requiring intermediate level care. Also as an extra set of eyes and ears in monitoring the residents when something dramatic changes. The experience sparked my career into becoming a Nurse, the best decision I made in my life.
