Hola amigas de la hermosa comunidad de Ladies Of Hive, espero se encuentren muy bien y estén pasando una bonita Navidad. Esta semana nuestra amiga @elizabethbit nos comparte dos preguntas muy especiales sobre la magia de la época decembrina y los regalos que pudiéramos darle a otros si tuviésemos la posibilidad de hacerlo, así que me gustaría ahondar en estas preguntas del concurso #267 y aprovechar también para invitar a mis amigas @mandysmoon y @syllem ♥️

This week, our friend @elizabethbit shares two very special questions with us about the magic of the festive season and the gifts we could give to others if we had the chance to do so. I would like to delve deeper into these questions from contest #267 and also take this opportunity to invite my friends @mandysmoon and @syllem ♥️
Si pudieras hacer un regalo que tuviera un gran potencial para hacer el bien en estas fiestas, ¿qué sería, a quién se lo regalarías y por qué?
If you could give a gift that has great potential to do good for this holiday season, what would it be, who would you give it to, and why?
Siempre he pensado que ayudar a los demás es ayudarse a uno mismo, en mi país hay muchas personas en condición de calle y con muchas necesidades, a pesar de que el país se ha recuperado un poco de momentos difíciles que vivimos, aún quedan muchas personas sufriendo por la falta de dinero para poder costear su alimentación, salud y educación. Si tuviera la oportunidad de darle a alguien un regalo sería a alguien en situación de calle o que se encuentre pasando por un proceso difícil y si estuviera en mi disposición poder pagarle una consulta médica general y también poder darles algo de comida para que pudiesen pasar al menos un mes en una mejor condición. Pienso que hay muchos que somos afortunados por tener siempre como alimentarnos y un techo para descansar cada día, pero existen personas que la pasan realmente mal, no hay oportunidades reales para que su condición cambie y caen en las calles incluso llegando a perder su salud mental en el proceso porque no es fácil vivir una situación así. Si pudiera contar con la posibilidad de que pudieran acudir también a una consulta para revisar su salud emocional, lo haría sin pensarlo demasiado. Todos en algún momento podemos ser de ayuda a otros y también necesitaremos de los demás, así que siempre que esté a nuestro alcance el poder cambiarle el día o la vida a una persona, no hay que pensarlo dos veces.
I have always believed that helping others is helping oneself. In my country, there are many homeless people with many needs. Although the country has recovered somewhat from the difficult times we have experienced, there are still many people suffering from a lack of money to pay for food, healthcare, and education. If I had the opportunity to give someone a gift, it would be to someone who is homeless or going through a difficult time. If I could, I would pay for a general medical consultation and also give them some food so that they could spend at least a month in better conditions. I think that many of us are fortunate to always have food to eat and a roof over our heads every day, but there are people who are really struggling, with no real opportunities to change their situation, and they end up on the streets, even losing their mental health in the process because it is not easy to live in such circumstances. If I could count on the possibility that they could also go to a consultation to check on their emotional health, I would do so without thinking twice. At some point, we can all be of help to others, and we will also need others, so whenever it is within our power to change someone's day or life, we should not think twice.
¿Qué es lo que más te gusta disfrutar durante las fiestas y por qué?
What is your favorite thing to enjoy during the holiday season, and why?
La navidad se convierte en sinónimo de reencuentro familiar y de pasar una temporada compartiendo en familia, para mí es muy importante poder tener esa cercanía con mi familia y poder estar cerca de las personas que de corazón siempre me han tenido cariño. Por lo que disfruto mucho de estas fechas en las que se da la oportunidad de volver a ver a personas que tenemos tiempo sin ver, en mi caso tengo mucho tiempo que no veo a mi papá y espero que se nos de la oportunidad en estas fechas para vernos y conversar de todo lo que no hemos podido y además darnos ese tan esperado y especial abrazo. También me gusta poder sentir la magia de la navidad y ver que mi familia pueda tener comida navideña típica aquí en Venezuela, poder darnos regalos tanto en físico como otros que no tienen valor adquisitivo. Este mes me recuerda también a aquellas personas que ya no están pero que hicieron de las navidades una época muy especial y recordarles me hace sentir afortunada de haberlos tenido en mi vida, es un tiempo de mucho agradecimiento y de conectar con lo espiritual.
Christmas is synonymous with family reunions and spending time together. For me, it is very important to be able to be close to my family and to be around the people who have always loved me from the bottom of their hearts. That's why I really enjoy this time of year, when we have the opportunity to see people we haven't seen in a long time. In my case, I haven't seen my dad in a long time, and I hope we'll have the opportunity during this season to see each other and talk about everything we haven't been able to talk about, as well as give each other that long-awaited and special hug. I also like being able to feel the magic of Christmas and see my family enjoying traditional Christmas food here in Venezuela, and being able to give each other gifts, both physical ones and others that have no monetary value. This month also reminds me of those who are no longer with us but who made Christmas a very special time, and remembering them makes me feel fortunate to have had them in my life. It is a time of great gratitude and of connecting with the spiritual.

I agree with you that when we are able to help others, and just as we need others, especially in the way you describe, it would be very valuable to change someone's day or life, as well as enjoying this time with our loved ones, as you say, moments of gratitude and connection with the spiritual. Helping others who cannot help themselves is a beautiful expression of human compassion. MY twenty-five+ year career as a Community Nurse and Care giver was inspired in volunteer work in an Old Age Residential facility. It was a clear calling and the best decision of my life @naath ❤️
