Felices fiestas.

Hello everyone in this wonderful @ladiesofhive community. Today I'm stopping by once again to share my participation in the weekly contest, this time hosted by @irenenavarroart, which covers some very interesting Christmas themes. This time, I'd like to talk about the second question she posed, where she invited us to share our Christmas decorations.

I must confess that although I remember decorating at my aunt's house as a child, where she did have a large Christmas tree, we didn't have any decorations at home. This year, however, since I started living with my boyfriend, we did have several very pretty decorations, and we got excited about decorating from December 1st. He shared a post some time ago on @hive-131951 showing some pictures of the finished tree. But I'd also like to share some pictures of my favorite decorations.

One of my favorite details was placing the small gift packages as decorations right under the tree. It almost made me feel like in the movies, when they put the gifts in that exact spot until Christmas Eve.

Another favorite decoration of mine is the centerpiece, which features natural pine cones and other artificial decorations like fabric pumpkins, faux leaves, and an adorable gnome. Along with the candle, it gives the dining room a rustic yet cozy feel. This decoration is completely collapsible, and I was able to experiment with different combinations until I found the one that truly expressed the energy I was looking for.

To complete the decorations, I adorned several areas of the house with snowflake-shaped string lights, which I think add a unique and special touch in this country where we don't have snow.

And that's all we managed to decorate for Christmas. I hope you liked it, and thank you so much to everyone who reads my posts. Happy holidays!

Pine cones! Do conifer trees grow in Cuba?
I live near Vancouver Canada, it does get cold but rarely snows here. ❄️
May your Christmas be always as warm as our family and friends @lianny

Indeed, pine trees grow in Cuba. Perhaps they aren't exactly the same as those that grow in countries with snow; I don't know much about botany. They are quite beautiful, but scarce, and they must be protected from being cut down, since in some places they have almost completely eliminated those that existed.

About 90% of the forests around Vancouver are conifers; Cedars, firs, pines, etc. yet the price of a lovely 1.5m Christmas tree is $35 CAD plus tax. 🎄 The local snow capped mountains are beautiful, I hope I can get some clear weather to take a photo to post.

In Cuba Christmas trees are artificials, there are not enough natural trees to make this type of decoration. Just the pine cones are real.
