Keeping the home running smoothly with only one income is strenuous both mentally and physically, no outside assistance becomes a full time job of it's own. Absolute need to be able to break away from routine to keep ones own life in balance.

Boys and girls growing up should be taught how to cook, able to be depended upon in times of need.
Once accomplished when marrying both have the ability to assist each other, never be afraid to teach a partner who has not been given this opportunity, it will surprise you in the long run.
