¿Cuál es un libro, vídeo de YouTube, película o lección de vida sobre el autodesarrollo que realmente le ha impactado? Podría tratarse de habilidades, dinero, propósito, relaciones, salud o crecimiento personal. Comparte lo que te enseñó y por qué lo recomendarías a otros

Una de las películas que me motivado mas en los últimos años fue Miss Potter, esta narra la historia de una escritora y e ilustradora de cuentos infantiles que logró hacerse su lugar en una epoca en donde las mujeres no eran reconocidas en ese rubro y que además logró consolidar su estilo de arte como algo rentable.

A pesar de que tuvo una familia de dinero en cuyo círculo se acostumbraba a que las mujeres se casaran y se dedicarán al hogar, ella logró ser una mujer independiente, que haciendo lo que amaba pudo dejar el cobijo de sus padres y vivir felizmente incluso casándose a una edad avanzada para los estándares de la época.

Esta película me inspiró mucho porque al igual que la protagonista al dedicarme a las artes algunas personas no han tomado en serio mi trabajo, lo veían como un simple pasatiempo, algo de lo que no se puede vivir, sin embargo, hasta ahora no he renunciado a lo que me gusta y me he dado a respetar a través de las creaciones, a pesar de que vivimos en una época diferencia aún sigue existiendo discriminación hacia las mujeres en el arte, minimizando sus trabajos como si se tratarán de simples cosas que se hacen para perder el tiempo, abogo por el respeto a la mujeres artista y artesanas y esta película sin caer en polémicas me mostró que siendo firme y constante se puede lograr vivir del arte.

En este momento de tu vida, ¿cuál crees que es tu principal razón para vivir? ¿Cómo describirías tu propósito en este momento y qué te mantiene avanzando cada día?

Mi principal razón para seguir adelante es mi hijo, sumado al amor que le tengo, tengo un fuerte sentido de responsabilidad que se une al hecho de que como madre soltera él depende solo de mi, por lo tanto no puedo déjame caer, incluso en las peores circunstancias cuando he caído en depresión trato de no hundirme por completo y seguir viviendo por el, es un niño maravilloso que me llena de valor y orgullo.

One of the movies that has motivated me the most in recent years was Miss Potter. It tells the story of a children's book author and illustrator who carved out a niche for herself in an era when women weren't recognized in that field and who also managed to establish her art style as a profitable venture.

Despite coming from a wealthy family where it was customary for women to marry and dedicate themselves to the home, she managed to become an independent woman. By doing what she loved, she was able to leave her parents' home and live happily, even marrying at an advanced age by the standards of the time.

This film inspired me greatly because, like the protagonist, when I dedicate myself to the arts, some people haven't taken my work seriously. They saw it as a mere hobby, something you can't make a living from. However, I haven't given up on what I love, and I've earned respect through my creations. Even though we live in a different era, discrimination against women in art still exists, minimizing their work as if it were simply something done to waste time. I advocate for respect for women artists and craftswomen, and this film, without being controversial, showed me that with firmness and perseverance, it's possible to make a living from art.

At this point in your life, what do you think is your main reason for living? How would you describe your purpose at this moment, and what keeps you moving forward each day?

My main reason to keep going is my son. In addition to the love I have for him, I have a strong sense of responsibility, which is compounded by the fact that as a single mother he depends solely on me. Therefore, I cannot let myself fall apart. Even in the worst circumstances, when I have fallen into depression, I try not to sink completely and to keep living for him. He is a wonderful child who fills me with courage and pride.
