Greetings, friends of the #LadiesofHive community. In this week's edition, which invites us to reflect on the questions posed by our dear @alessandrawhite, here is my contribution:

1. When have you had to learn a new skill under intense pressure?

In particular, as the eldest daughter in my family, I gradually took on serious roles with a lot of responsibility, such as caring for my sisters.

These roles are tough when you're a girl, but they definitely make you mature. At the age of nine, I had to help my siblings. My parents worked, and I had to take care of my siblings, cook for them, clean, do the laundry. My happiest childhood moments were during school vacations because my mom, who worked at a school, also had those days off.

This type of role made me mature prematurely. I learned to be a good housewife with all the responsibilities that this entails. Of course, every situation that I call “grown-up problems” also made me a strong person, confident in facing life's small and large problems.

Of course, there is also the respect earned through hard work and sacrifice. I think of what my mother used to say to me: “A good daughter is a good sister and, of course, a good mother.”

My satisfaction comes from the fact that we all studied and formed our own families as good people, and my mother always thanked me for that, telling her sisters and my uncles that I was a good example as a daughter.

Taking on responsibilities from a very young age, thank God, had a positive impact on my life, making me a responsible, organized person with tenacity and clear goals and objectives.

The best part of it all has been the reward of a job well done, of having helped my family when it was necessary, and of earning the respect of my younger siblings through hard work and sacrifice.

2. When have you completely misjudged someone upon first meeting them and then discovered that they were much better or much worse than you originally thought?

Looking back, when I was working at the university in the treasury department, I remember a person who had recently been appointed chief accountant and who sought to convince our supervisor that my work was not suited to my character. On several occasions, I demonstrated to him that experience cannot be improvised.

The fact is that I had earned the position of head of that department through my performance and by having fulfilled the duties of every role within that unit, with the best attitude for learning and professional development.

Judging certain people and even looking for someone to blame

Sometimes looking outward makes us judge certain people and even look for someone to blame for what we are going through, but when we look inward, we take responsibility for our lives and, as a result, we become proactive.

Soon it was good and positive, because my colleague and I developed a good relationship of respect during that time, as we often agreed on how to work. If we didn't know something, we researched it, and that led us to have many things in common. At work, we formed a good team within the Institution.

Have depth and knowledge before making judgments

From the moment I realized that I can never lose my human essence, my value, and my greatness, my life changed as I was able to feel and enjoy this reality that is so much a part of me. This will be reflected in my interactions with others and vice versa, as I must have depth and knowledge before making judgments.

When I discover that I have everything I need inside me to feel and make myself great, it is the beginning of being free from many things, including what other people think of me, discovering the gifts, talents, and qualities I have.

I would like to quote our creator with a verse from the Bible that I love and that continually sustains me: “I called to you when I felt I was falling, and you, with great love, always held me up” Psalm 94:18.

En particular como la hija mayor en mi familia, fui poco a poco cumpliendo roles tan serios y de tanta responsabilidad como lo es el cuidado de mis hermanas.

Son duros estos roles cuando te tocan y eres chica, pero definitivamente te hacen madurar, a mí me tocó a la edad de nueve años ayudar a mis hermanos, mis padres trabajaban y tuve que atender a mis hermanos, hacerles de comer, a limpiar, lavar la ropa, mi infancia más feliz era en la época de vacaciones escolares porque mi mamá que trabajaba en una escuela también tenía esos días de asueto.

Este tipo de rol me hizo madurar prematuramente, pude aprender a ser una buena ama de casa con todas las responsabilidades que esto conlleva, por supuesto que cada situación de las que yo les llamo "problemas de gente grande” me hizo también una persona fuerte y segura de enfrentar los pequeños y grandes problemas de la vida.

Por supuesto que también existe el respeto ganado a pulso y con sacrificios, pienso como me decía mi madre: “quien es buena hija, es buena hermana y por supuesto, buena madre”

Mi satisfacción es que todos estudiamos y formamos nuestras propias familias, como gente de bien, y mi mamá siempre me lo agradeció, pues a sus hermanas y a mis tíos les decía que yo era un buen ejemplo como hija.

Adquirir responsabilidades desde muy chica, gracias a Dios, pudo marcar mi vida de un modo positivo, haciéndome ser alguien responsable, ordenada, con tenacidad, con objetivos y metas fijas.

Lo bueno de todo ha, sido tener la recompensa de un deber cumplido, de haber ayudado a mi familia cuando fue necesario y llevar por siempre el respeto de mis menores ganado a pulso y sacrificio.

2.¿Cuándo has juzgado completamente mal a alguien al conocerlo por primera vez y luego has descubierto que era mucho mejor o mucho peor de lo que pensabas originalmente?

Echando una mirada hacia atrás, cuando estuve trabajando en la Universidad, en el área de tesorería, recuerdo a una persona recién nombrada jefe contable, que buscaba hacer ver a nuestro supervisor, que mí trabajo no era acorde con mi carácter, cosa que en varias ocasiones le fui demostrando que la experiencia no se improvisa.

Y es que para llegar al cargo de jefe de ese departamento, fue por el desempeño y por haber cumplido funciones en cada puesto que conformaban esa unidad, con la mejor actitud de aprender y evolucionar profesionalmente.

Juzgar a ciertas personas y hasta buscar culpables

A veces mirar hacia el exterior nos hace juzgar a ciertas personas y hasta buscar culpables de lo que vivimos, pero cuando miramos hacia nuestro interior, nos hacemos responsables de nuestra vida, y por consiguiente, nos volvemos proactivas.

Al poco tiempo fue bueno y positivo, porque junto a mi colega, durante ese tiempo llegamos a tener una buena relación de respeto, ya que en varias oportunidades coincidimos en la forma de trabajar, si no sabíamos algo lo investigábamos y eso nos llevó a tener muchas cosas en común y en el plano laboral conformamos un buen equipo de trabajo dentro de la Institución.

Tener profundidad y conocimiento antes de emitir juicios

Desde el momento que me di cuenta que jamás puedo perder mi esencia humana, mi valor y mi grandeza, mi vida cambió al poder sentir y disfrutar de esta realidad tan mía y eso será mi reflejo hacia los demás y viceversa, pues debo tener profundidad y conocimiento antes de emitir juicios.

Cuando descubro que en mi interior tengo todo lo que necesito para sentirme y hacerme grandiosa, es el comienzo de ser libre de muchas cosas, e incluso de lo que piensan las demás personas de mí, descubriendo los dones, talentos y cualidades que tengo.

Me permito citar a nuestro creador con un versículo de la biblia que me encanta y que continuamente me mantiene: “Te llamé al sentir que me caía y tú, con mucho amor, siempre me sostuviste” Salmo 94:18.
