Greetings, friends of the #LadiesofHive community. In this week's edition, which invites us to reflect on the questions posed by our dear @sacra97, here is my participatión to one of them:

If you could travel through time, would you go to the future or the past?

I believe that the past remains in yesterday, where we have travelled, where we have inevitably left our mark and from where we have also brought back traces of ourselves, but it is up to us to decide how to use it. If we want to move on and live in peace and joy, we have to carry with us the good memories, those of living alongside our loved ones who have gone before us to the end of the road, and the bad ones only as a frame of reference to avoid spending our lives going from mistake to mistake.

A look back at the past

Time passes, and we must give ourselves space to correct and try again with greater wisdom, more focused as a person, recognising the qualities I have, with greater confidence in what I want and what I seek.

So while I can do it with my memories, I pause to take a look at the past to take stock of my life and even with all the ups and downs, I know it is beautiful, I must not make it a battlefield and to achieve this, something I must learn is to forgive, to be humble and open myself up to new things and let the past go.

This had happened to me some time ago, when doubt and fear were accompanied by indecision, that prevented me from receiving the wisdom to know what was right and not doing it. It was key to quiet my mind and look within myself to allow me to value the present, and although we are not completely in control of it if our minds are invaded by fear of what might happen tomorrow, the reality is that today I can decide what I am going to do.

Holding on to the future with hope

In particular, I like to read, listen to topics related to spiritual and personal growth, talk to God, which helps me greatly, ask for wisdom with faith, and act decisively, trusting that God guides my steps, even when the process is not perfect.

In any case, I believe that everything we do, no matter how small, can have an impact on our lives. That is why I do not think that having the opportunity to travel to the future and know that something is going to happen would help me avoid what I believe only God knows is written in my life.

For me, it is important to fill myself with hope, building tomorrow in the present, trusting in that power greater than ourselves, in our creator, accepting the uncertainty of the future. I love a quote from the Bible, Proverbs 16:9: ‘The heart of man plans his course, but the Lord directs his steps.’

If we focus on the present...

I think we will be happier if we focus on the present, allowing ourselves the opportunity to enjoy what we have, instead of lamenting what happened or what we do not have. This does not mean that we should not learn from our mistakes or plan and hold on to a glorious future, with plans for good and not evil, because I believe that we must find a balance in order to live life to the fullest.

It is now, with the present and the importance of having the attitude of not giving up on our dreams. For example, we should not compare ourselves to others, as this opens the door to envy and creates disturbance. There is danger in comparing ourselves to those above us, as it discourages us, and if we compare ourselves to those below us, it gives way to pride, arrogance and haughtiness.

Everyone runs their own race. It is important to filter my thoughts, and if what comes to mind builds or destroys my life, if what I think is a blessing and nourishes me, I give it free rein. Otherwise, I must change it and think about the good. so every moment is a treasure, and it is up to me not to let it slip through my fingers like water without taking advantage of it, since we learn something new every day.

Life is the gift that God has given us, which we can shape to build our future, with faith in our Heavenly Father, looking ahead to make those dreams come true.

Si pudieras viajar en el tiempo, ¿irías al futuro o al pasado?

Creo que el pasado va quedando en el ayer por donde transitamos, donde inevitablemente dejamos huellas y de donde también nos trajimos huellas, pero de nosotras depende que uso darle, si queremos superar y vivir con paz y alegría, tenemos que cargar con los buenos recuerdos, con los que vivimos al lado de los seres amados que se nos han adelantado al final del camino, y lo malo solo como marco de referencia para evitar pasar la vida de error en error.

Una mirada al pasado

El tiempo pasa y hay que darnos espacio de corregir y volver a intentar con más sabiduría, más centrada como persona, reconocer las cualidades que tengo, al tener mayor seguridad en lo que deseo y en lo que busco.

Entonces mientras puedo hacerlo con mis recuerdos, me detengo a echar un vistazo al pasado para hacer el balance de mi vida y aun con todos los altibajos, sé que es hermosa, no debo hacer de ella un campo de batalla y para lograrlo, algo que debo aprender es a perdonar, a ser humilde y abrirme a cosas nuevas y dejar que el pasado pase.

Me había pasado hace algún tiempo, cuando la duda y el temor estaban acompañadas de la indecisión, eso me impedía recibir sabiduría de saber qué es lo correcto y no hacerlo, fue clave aquietar mi mente y mirar en mi interior, para permitirme valorar el presente y aunque no somos completamente dueños de él si en nuestra mente nos invade el temor de lo que nos pueda pasar mañana, la realidad es que hoy sí puedo decidir lo que voy hacer.

Aferrarme al futuro con esperanza

En particular, me gusta leer, escuchar temas de crecimiento espiritual y personal, conversar con Dios me ayuda en gran manera, pedir sabiduría con fe y actuar con decisión, confiando en que Dios guía mis pasos, aun cuando el proceso no es perfecto.

De todos modos creo que todas las cosas que hagamos por muy pequeñas que sean pueden tener un resultado en nuestra vida, es por eso que tener la oportunidad de viajar al futuro y conocer que algo va a pasar, no creo que me ayude a evitar lo que pienso que sólo Dios sabe que está escrito en mi vida.

Para mí es importante llenarme de esperanza, construyendo en el presente el mañana, confiando en ese poder más grande que nosotros, en nuestro creador, aceptando la incertidumbre del futuro, me encanta una cita en La Biblia, Proverbios 16:9 "El corazón del hombre traza su rumbo, pero sus pasos los dirige el Señor".

Si nos enfocamos en el presente…

Pienso que seremos más felices si nos enfocamos en el presente, permitiendo la oportunidad de disfrutar lo que tenemos, en lugar de lamentarnos por lo que pasó o por lo que no tenemos. Tampoco significa que no debamos aprender de los errores o planificar y aferrarme a un futuro glorioso, con planes de bien y no de mal, pues creo que debemos encontrar un equilibrio o balance, para vivir a plenitud.

Es ahora, con el presente y lo importante de tener la actitud de no dejar de creer en nuestros sueños, por ejemplo, no nos comparemos con otros, eso abre la puerta a la envidia y crea perturbación y hay peligro en compararnos con los que están más arriba, nos desanima y si el caso es con otros por debajo, da paso al orgullo, arrogancia y soberbia.

Cada quien corre su propia carrera, es importante poner un filtro a mis pensamientos, y si con lo que llega a mi mente construye o destruye mi vida, si lo que pienso es de Bendición y me alimenta, le doy vía libre, de lo contrario debo cambiarlo y pensar en lo bueno, así con cada momento es un tesoro y está en mí el no dejar que se vaya como agua entre los dedos sin aprovecharlo, ya que todos los días aprendemos algo nuevo.

La vida es el regalo que Dios nos ha dado, que es posible darle forma para construir nuestro futuro, con la fe puesta en nuestro Padre Celestial, mirando hacia adelante, para hacer posible que esos sueños se hagan realidad.
