Este año llegó con una noticia inesperada en mi país. Noticia que nos sorprendió a todos, incluso a los extranjeros, ya que tuvimos 27 para que se diera finalmente y empezaran a verse horizontes de libertad. Hablo de la captura de Nicolás Maduro el 3 de enero. Un hecho que nos tomó días asimilar para creer por completo y asumir que en Venezuela le queda poco a este régimen dictatorial.

Pero como no quiero hacer de este post un tema político, este párrafo introductorio era necesario para explicar la respuesta a la pregunta planteada por la amiga @merit.ahama. Ya que todo lo que ha sucedido en mi país ha traído como consecuencia sufrir de ansiedad y muchas emociones encontradas.

Así que algo que me vi obligada a practicar desde hace algún tiempo y que este año me propongo practicar más que nunca es el hecho de vivir en el aquí y el ahora, dándole gracias a Dios cada día todos los días por los pequeños detalles de la vida y por todas las experiencias buenas o malas que me permite vivir.

Este año valoro más los pequeños momentos de la vida que me traen felicidad y paz a mi corazón, momentos que me llenan el alma y me alegran sobremanera porque sé que Dios está a mi lado en cada paso que doy. Y eso es lo que más he notado este año: la presencia de Dios en todo lo que hago.

Tengo muchas comidas favoritas, en especial la saludable a base de vegetales y verduras, que utiliza la carne de soya como proteína y también aquellos platos que llevan mariscos, pescados y muchas cosas ricas que provienen del mar.

Yo soy alguien que tras superar el cáncer debo mantener una dieta lo más saludable posible, enfocándome en comer más que todo comida vegetariana, sin embargo por la situación país que vivimos en Venezuela y tras sufrir por largo tiempo una escacez de alimentos importados y nacionales, tuve que abandonar mi estilo de vida y adaptarme a lo que se podía conforme pasaba el tiempo.

Actualmente, la escasez no se ve tanto, pero no se encuentran productos importados desde hace años y, de encontrarse, es a un precio tan alto que resulta imposible adquirirlo. Así que vivimos por el momento con un descontrol económico que ha destruido al país y ha obligado a muchos venezolanos a irse buscando una mejor calidad de vida.

Yo, por mi parte, sigo manteniendo vivo mi sueño de poder vender comida desde mi casa cuando todo se termine de solucionar, que, con el favor de Dios, será así. Venezuela necesita un cambio y todos esperamos que este cambio que inició el 3 de enero sea para la unión y el bien de todo un país que ha sufrido mucho por 27 largos años.

This year arrived with unexpected news in my country. News that surprised us all, even foreigners, since we had 27 days for it to finally happen and for the horizons of freedom to begin to appear. I'm talking about the capture of Nicolás Maduro on January 3rd. It took us days to fully grasp and accept that this dictatorial regime in Venezuela has little time left.

But since I don't want to make this post a political topic, this introductory paragraph was necessary to explain the answer to the question posed by my friend @merit.ahama. Everything that has happened in my country has resulted in anxiety and many conflicting emotions.

So, something I've been forced to practice for some time now, and which I intend to practice more than ever this year, is living in the here and now, giving thanks to God every single day for the small details of life and for all the good and bad experiences He allows me to have.

This year I value more the small moments in life that bring happiness and peace to my heart, moments that fill my soul and bring me immense joy because I know God is by my side every step of the way. And that's what I've noticed most this year: God's presence in everything I do.

I have many favorite foods, especially healthy ones based on vegetables, using soy meat as a protein source, and also dishes with seafood, fish, and many other delicious things from the sea.

After overcoming cancer, I need to maintain the healthiest diet possible, focusing primarily on vegetarian food. However, due to the situation in Venezuela and after suffering for a long time from a shortage of both imported and domestic food, I had to abandon my lifestyle and adapt to what was available as time went on.

Currently, the shortages aren't as severe, but imported products haven't been available for years, and if they are, they're so expensive that they're impossible to buy. So, for the moment, we're living with an economic crisis that has devastated the country and forced many Venezuelans to leave in search of a better life.

For my part, I still hold onto my dream of selling food from home when everything is finally resolved, which, God willing, it will be. Venezuela needs a change, and we all hope that this change that began on January 3rd will be for the unity and good of an entire country that has suffered greatly for 27 long years.
