It's been a while since I participated in this contest but fortunately today I was able to participate, and it fills me with emotion because every time Mother's Day comes it's a little hard for me, but I'm sure I'll be able to express my feelings through this quiz.
Hace tiempo que no participaba en este concurso pero afortunadamente hoy pude participar, y me llena de emoción porque siempre que llega el día de las madres es un poco duro para mi, pero estoy segura que podré expresar mis sentimientos a través de este cuestionario.
Whether your mother is with us in person or in spirit, what is/was your plan to celebrate Mother’s day this year?
Tanto si su madre está con nosotros en persona o en espíritu, ¿Cuál es o era su plan para celebrar el Día de la Madre este año?
In fact it has been many years since my mother went to heaven, that is why Mother's Day makes me very sensitive, however I can remember her as if it were yesterday, her benevolent look, her soft hair and her sweet voice. When Mother's Day came I always gave her a robe, some were for sleeping and others were more like dresses for going out, she liked them very much, I also gave her some perfume, especially of her favorite fragrance, Jean Naté 🤗, for that reason that smell reminds me a lot of her. Another thing that I can't forget either and that caused me a lot of tenderness is that on one occasion when my daughter and her cousins (many years ago now) were playing while taking things out of a closet, they got several letters and drawings that my siblings and I gave her on our childhood mother's days 😢.
En efecto hace muchos años que mi madre se fue al cielo, así es por eso que el día de las madres me pone muy sensible, sin embargo puedo recordarla como si fuese ayer, su mirada benevolente, su cabello suave y su dulce voz. Cuando llegaba el día de las madres yo siempre le regalaba una bata, algunas eran para dormir y otras eran más bien vestidos para salir, a ella le gustaban mucho, también le regalaba algún perfume, en especial de su fragancia favorita, Jean Naté 🤗, por esa razón ese olor me recuerda mucho a ella. Otra cosa que tampoco puedo olvidar y que me causó mucha ternura es que en una ocasión en que mi hija y sus primos (hace ya muchos años) estaban jugando mientras sacaban cosas de un armario, consiguieron varias cartas y dibujos que mis hermanos y yo le regalamos a ella en los días de la madre de nuestra infancia 😢.
Caring for an aged parent can be a joy and at the same time a challenge. What obstacles did you encounter and how did you and your family overcome them?
Cuidar de un padre anciano puede ser una alegría y al mismo tiempo un reto. ¿Qué obstáculos ha encontrado y cómo los ha superado con su familia?
In my case my mother was not so old, she was only 64 years old when she died, but she had stomach cancer, so she required a lot of care, but I had 7 siblings at that time, so we all took turns to take care of her. As for my father we did the same, he was very old, he was 87 years old, but we were all able to take care of him in his old age, even though one of my sisters was also sick, very sick, and in fact she died only a few days after him, but when you have been raised with love you cannot give anything else but love, so we all took care of him with the satisfaction that he was very well taken care of.
En mi caso mi madre no estaba tan anciana, solo tenía 64 años cuando murió, pero tenía cáncer de estómago, así que de igual forma requería de muchos cuidados, pero yo tenía en ese entonces 7 hermanos, así que entre todos hacíamos turnos para cuidar de ella. En cuanto a mi padre hicimos lo mismo, él sí estaba muy anciano, tenía 87 años, pero todos pudimos cuidarlo en su vejez, a pesar de que una de mis hermanas también estaba enferma, muy enferma, y de hecho murió solo unos días después que él, pero cuando has sido criado con amor no puedes dar otra cosa más que amor, así que todos nos avocamos a su cuidado con la satisfacción de que estaba muy bien atendido.
Losing one's parents is not easy, but at least when there has been love there is the satisfaction of having honored them, and that is very comforting. Thank you very much for reading my post, I invite you to participate in the contest

I can relate to you about remembering my mother with her favourite fragrance. I agree with you, when you have been raised with love, you can give nothing but love, and it is reflected in the good care they took of their parents and sister, as you say, it is a valuable satisfaction, thank you for sharing your experiences,
