HOW I HANDLED CONFLICTS;QC 155
Hi everyone, it's been a long while here on Hive, and I won't lie, I miss being here, but I'm glad I'm finally back here for good π. Thanks for the acceptance; I'm grateful. My first participation after resumption, and I love it. Let's get started.
Conflict is disagreement or a clash between two or more people, often when ideas or opinions are incompatible. It is a natural part of life, and I think IT IS INEVITABLE because the world is a place of diversity; people with different religions, different cultures, different ideas, different values, different temperaments, different perspectives, and the list goes on.
What seems right or okay with Mr. A might be perceived as wrong by Mr. B, and some people have the inability to see the other person's perspective without analyzing it differently. Everyone wants to be right, and some people lack respect for the other person's way of life.
I think if we can try considering other people's perspectives without trying to be right all the time, conflict will be reduced.
HOW I HANDLE CONFLICT
The first thing I do is to define the source of the conflict, which is trying to understand what caused it and how it all started. That way, it would be easier to tackle the problem from the roots and give solutions.
Next, I make sure the two parties are given attention while avoiding the blame game. Most conflicts happen because the two groups involved felt unheard and tried to be loud or involved in actions to make a point. Hearing from both sides gives a sense of satisfaction that they are finally heard or seen.
After that, a solution can be made to ensure the problem is settled because a problem without a solution still remains a problem. The solution may also be trying to balance the ideas they disagreed on so the two parties can see it the same way.
And lastly, I ensure that there is an agreement between the two sides concerning the solutions made.
I use these strategies to handle conflicts between two people, and if I am the one involved with the other person, I might choose to be quiet on my point or approach the person when everything cools off and apply the same strategies above.
Thanks for reading π
Nice to have you back βΊοΈ
Totally agree with this part, and it's exactly as you said, people like to be right and that's a huge obstacle when we try to resolve something.
Exactly, at the end it doesn't matter if A or B was wrong, what's important is to find a solution for the problem.
Yes o a problem without a solution still remains a problem.
Conflict resolution takes having respect for both conflicting parties by sure hearing them out and applying wisdom to settle amicably.
Conflict resolution requires maturity in character and being impartial in every way possible.
Nice read
