Conflict - Do you think conflict is inevitable? How do you handle conflict? What strategies do you use to resolve conflict?

Conflict is one of those things that life seems to bring whether we plan for it or not. Wherever there are people with different ideas, backgrounds, or goals, there is bound to be disagreement at some point. In this sense, conflict feels almost inevitable. It is not always about fighting or hostility, sometimes it is simply a clash of opinions, interests, or expectations. What truly matters is not the conflict itself but how it is handled.

Personally, I value peace deeply. I believe that peace is not just the absence of noise or quarrel, but a state where understanding and respect are present. Because of this, I do my best to approach conflict with calmness rather than aggression sometimes I even practice withdrawal. Instead of rushing to defend my side, I prefer to listen carefully to the other person. Listening, for me, is a powerful tool. It shows respect, helps me understand where the other person is coming from, and often reduces the tension before solutions are even suggested.

When handling conflict, I rely on empathy and patience. I put myself in the other personโ€™s shoes and ask, โ€œHow would I feel if I were in their position?โ€ This softens my approach and makes it easier to find common ground. I also try to keep my emotions in check, because anger only fuels misunderstanding. Another strategy I use is open communication. I believe speaking honestly, but respectfully, clears the air and prevents assumptions that could worsen the situation.

At the end of the day, my greatest strategy is choosing peace over pride. I would rather settle issues with kindness, understanding, and compromise than allow them to grow into hostility. Conflict may be inevitable, but peace will always be my choice.

Exactly! Conflict is inevitable but the way it's been handled matters most.

Choosing peace irrespective of the issue is maturity, that's great approach.

That's an interesting way to look at peace. I was really used to think of it like silence and calm, but it makes a lot of sense, the fact that there is movement does not mean that there is no peace, but it is the natural way of life.

Uff, this was really good. Sometimes we choose pride over everything and that's when things can go wrong.

Peace should be a way of life
If everyone chooses peace over pride, life would be easier, misunderstandings would be resolved amicably.

Thank you for reading

To love peace and pursue it is to stay away from conflict.
A peace loving person will always find ways to resolve any form of conflicts rather than escalate it.

Conflicts are of course inevitable as long as we're relating and interacting with different characters on a daily basis.
Conflicts are also great indicators to show how truly matured a person is.

The last sentence hit me.... it's only during conflict you know how a person thinks or reacts to an action.
