Affection is a kind of relationship someone develops towards an individual or something. It gradually builds and becomes strong. It can also be a passion or interest in a living or non-living thing.

It takes me time to develop an interest in anything, but once I do, it is strong. I like it when I am loved, listened to, and supported with words of advice or encouragement. This way, I know that someone cares and is affectionate towards me. I also receive more energy to move more strongly and stay motivated. Again, giving a hug and perceiving a cool fragrance from the individual leaves a certain aura for me. Lol. It tells me things like “Grace, you can also look great like this.” But trust me, I don't overshoot it.

Furthermore, I love it when I am appreciated and engaged in honest and beautiful conversation. It shows me mutual understanding and teaches me to focus on goal setting and achieving my dreams. I also love it when I am being carried along with things I am supposed to know. That way, I know that, truly, it is not about lip service, but respect, clarity, and drive to achieve more together; it also shows commitment to common goals and a plan.

On the other hand, I do not like it when I’m deceived, ignored, and not appreciated. I also hate it when I’m being sidelined and exploited. It also hurts when I notice some levels of cheating and manipulation here and there. All these demoralise and show me a lack of sincerity and ineptitude in the relationship.

I show affection by paying visits, staying with my loved ones, being there for them, and supporting them mentally, financially, and prayerfully. I also celebrate their remarkable dates with them, share gifts, and put their pictures on my chosen social media platforms to show support. Sometimes, too, taking them out for shopping creates the magic for me. Especially when I visit them or when they visit. Action speaks volumes; this way, trust is built, they are encouraged, and affection grows more.

In conclusion, I am affectionate, so I love spending time and showing affection to my loved ones, and I also expect they reciprocate such kind gestures.
