My Skill As A Student
I believe every student is good at something. I had a few classmates then who could cram an entire notebook in preparation for an exam. The only downside was that everything faded into thin air if they're distracted while pouring out all they have stored in their cram-box. Some were fast while jotting as a lecturer dictates his notes, while some were good at drawing. We all had what we were good at and knew exactly who to reach for certain things. I can't tell if they developed theirs or it was an inherent skill that developed with time. However, I'll be sharing my skill as a student, what made me different from the rest.
Mine was inherent. I grew up realizing I could just look at a note in a few glance and I already know what's there. While others read for hours, I'll flip pages within a few minutes and I am done. This skill made me a bit lazy, I didn't have a notebook and didn't take joltings . The handout I bought was the ones made compulsory for students. I knew I could just collect someone's note and read the entire pages in a few minutes and this I often do an hour before examination or while the readers try to take a few minutes rest before they continue.

The skill looked great, I had friends who wished they were like me. But to every advantage, there was a disadvantage. Only I knew and secretly wished I was like other students. I didn't learn this skill, I only discovered I have it and unfortunately, I never developed it further. One of the downsides of this skill was that this knowledge doesn't stick, it was more like my knowledge only lasted as long as it was needed. Once I was no longer needing it, my memory let it go.
I wanted a knowledge that would stick probably forever, but it doesn't. While others felt I was brilliant, I knew I couldn't defend myself after a few months on what I wrote. So it was more like knowledge on trance. When I go back to that book, I remember everything almost immediately, but then it only stays in my memory for a short time.

Huhm....this is a very deep and thoughtful one.
You capture so well how that every gift has it's own limit and how important it is to seek for more knowledge.
Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for reading through and sharing your thoughts
Very much welcome 🤗
Not many people have this skill. I know I don't scram, I read and understand. Scamming don't work for me.
Yeah, everyone is skilled on something
Indeed to ervy advantage there is a disadvantage, thanks for sharing
