My grandson, who stays with us during the weekdays, goes home to his mother on weekends. After a week of school work and activities, he always looks forward to spending a couple of days with his mom and her hubby. His mother always takes him out, usually for adventure trips, when he's with her like to the Philippine Eagle Center, to island hopping, to the beach and sometimes to the hometown of her hubby which is a rural area where farming is the main source of occupation for most.

In one of his visits to the rural area he had the pleasure of getting acquainted with this very tame and lovely yellow and black bird. It is a pet bird of her hubby's aunt. According to her it fell to the ground when it was still a chick and she took care of it. Here, it is fully grown and is a very playful domesticated feathered friend. My other daughter said this is an Oriole. I looked it up in Google and the exact description is Black-naped Oriole.

The black-naped oriole (Oriolus chinensis) is a passerine bird in the oriole family that is found in many parts of Asia. . . . the black-naped oriole has the stripe broadening and joining at the back of the neck. Males and females are very similar although the wing lining of the female is more greenish. The bill is pink and is stouter . . . Google Search

I love its golden hue just like sunshine streaming from out of the sky. The aunt did not give this beautiful bird a name when she adopted it so I am naming her Sunshine.

Say hello to Sunshine.
