Hello,

Hiveians around the world and Hivefesters in KL!

Today I bring you my view of the first days of Hivefest.

Thursday, 16 Oct was the official opening, as always with a gathering moment in a nice location, with drinks, food and many variations of "Hello, (hug happens) how are you since last year?!" and "Oh my god, you are [@ user]! Nice to meet you!"

The event took place by the pool in the rooftop of the KL Journal Hotel.
It was great to have my yearly chat with @cryptospa right at the start! Since we met back in the days, in every edition, we always find a time to hang out and have fun.
It was awesome to see @sorin.cristescu again. We met in Krakow in 2018 and never met since then until now! And boy, has he been busy promoting Hive!

From talks to excited HF debutants to listening to @blocktrades stories (actually history) and life experiences, that night had it all!

Fun fact that I soon noticed and people kept mentioning was how motivated the waiters were to keep us drinking non-stop, always pushing for "one more"!

It was a very pleasant night with good people that I didn't meet for at least a year!

Conference day 1 took place in the wonderful RXP KL (REXPERIENCE @ REXKL). So yeah, we had the presentations, discussions and closing fun part in an immersive theater. Oh... and food kept coming! Nice food, nice drinks and I managed to taste a flavorous Australian red wine.
The presentations covered multiple topics. Some more technical, some more mundane! Some pearls of information were dropped along the way for those able to find them.

Work and fun being done... we went for more fun.
We headed to Da Bao Restobar where upstairs, the Kapitan Haus bar was waiting for us! They had cold beer, and tasty food. The starters were yummy and I loved my Lamb Bao.

@detlev was my partner for the "I'm tired, I'm leaving, otherwise tomorrow I'll be destroyed" metro trip back to the hotel. The city was vibrant at night as usual, with lights, people and street food smell everywhere.
