#275 How a challenge became a passion | Como se convirtió un desafío en una pasión

Un día me di cuenta de que había dominado lo que tanto le temía.
No sé a qué se deba, pero las dinámicas de @ladiesofhive, por lo general, me traen recuerdos relacionados con números.
De forma que decidí responder a la pregunta: ¿Cuándo has tenido que aprender una nueva habilidad bajo intensa presión?
Hubo una habilidad que empezó a formar parte de mi vida cuando me di cuenta de que no tenía escapatoria: Las habilidades duras, también conocidas como técnicas.
Todo empezó cuando deseaba una carrera donde no tuviese que ver números; sin embargo, elegí administración. Mis padres podían pagarla; también la tomé porque mi finalidad es tener mi propia empresa.
Luego, a medida que avanzaban los semestres, como ya te he contado, me enfrenté a los números. Cursos como el de costos fueron mi mayor pesadilla.
En parte, siento que mi mente estaba bloqueada, y por ello no lograba aprender hasta proponérmelo.

One day I realized I had mastered what I feared most.I don't know why, but the dynamics of @ladiesofhive usually bring back memories related to numbers.
So I decided to answer the question: When have you had to learn a new skill under intense pressure?
There was one skill that became a part of my life when I realized I had no escape: Hard skills, also known as technical skills.
It all started when I wanted a career that didn't involve numbers; however, I chose business administration. My parents could afford it; I also chose it because my goal is to have my own company.
Then, as the semesters progressed, as I've already told you, I faced the numbers. Courses like cost accounting were my biggest nightmare.
In part, I feel like my mind was blocked, and that's why I couldn't learn until I made a conscious effort.
Año 2017, en mis pasantías como requisito para obtener el título en Técnico Superior Universitario en Administración de Empresas.
Años después, al graduarme, empecé a ejercer, y en la práctica, diariamente hacer cálculos y aplicar fórmulas era y es parte de mi día a día.
Era algo que debía hacer, aprender obligatoriamente porque es parte del trabajo, así que no tenía nada más que hacer que proponérmelo.
En la universidad estudiaba mucho para ello. Y en el trabajo igualmente.
Ir al campo laboral me hizo enfrentarme a otras actividades que no conocía de la carrera y que solo las conoces si ejerces. Por lo que en la práctica y el estudio fue adquiriendo mayor destreza en ella.
De esta manera también aprendía a usar Excel.
Aún recuerdo cuando abrí la primera hoja de cálculo; la cerré de inmediato. No estaba dispuesta a entenderlo, hasta que llegó el día de hacerle frente.
Tuve una maravillosa compañera que me dio algunas bases, por lo que siempre la recuerdo con cariño. Después, esta compañera tuvo que renunciar para hacer su vida, y allí estaba yo, enfrentándome a algo que consideraba más grande que yo: Hojas de cálculo de Excel.
Pero no iba a dejar que eso acabara conmigo.
Descargué algunos vídeos para verlos en casa, debido a que no tenía Internet, y en una noche logré aprender todo lo que necesitaba a nivel básico.
Con todo esto también ayudé a mi compañera. Tiempo después, gracias a la curiosidad y la pasión por crear cosas nuevas, el amor por hacer plantillas surgió en mí.
Por ello, actualicé plantillas en cada trabajo donde estuve, me convertí en una experta en optimizar los procesos administrativos.
Ahora en la actualidad uso Google Sheets (la versión online de Excel) para crear plantillas tanto para mi emprendimiento como de finanzas personales que promociono en mi canal de YouTube.

In 2017, during my internship as a requirement for obtaining my Associate's Degree in Business Administration.Years later, after graduating, I began working, and in practice, performing calculations and applying formulas was and still is a part of my daily routine.
It was something I had to do, something I was obligated to learn because it's part of the job, so I had no choice but to commit to it.
I studied a lot for it at university. And the same at work.
Entering the workforce exposed me to other activities I wasn't familiar with from my degree, things you only learn through practical experience. Through practice and study, I gradually gained more proficiency.
This is how I also learned to use Excel.
I still remember when I opened my first spreadsheet; I closed it immediately. I wasn't ready to understand it, until the day came to actually tackle it.
I had a wonderful colleague who gave me some basics, and I always remember her fondly. Later, this colleague had to quit to pursue her own life, and there I was, facing something I considered bigger than myself: Excel spreadsheets.
But I wasn't going to let that get me down.
I downloaded some videos to watch at home, since I didn't have internet access, and in one night I managed to learn everything I needed at a basic level.
With all this, I also helped my colleague. Some time later, thanks to my curiosity and passion for creating new things, a love for making templates blossomed within me.
Because of this, I updated templates at every job I had, becoming an expert at optimizing administrative processes.
Now, I use Google Sheets (the online version of Excel) to create templates for both my business and personal finance, which I promote on my YouTube channel.
Así que de esta manera, algo a lo que le temía me llevó a algo. Y eso a otra cosa que se convertiría en una pasión por crear nuevas cosas que ayudarán a las personas.
