Bikers' Palmie & Jollof Hangout

My friend and I made personal vows to go out more back in July. Well I made my own vow later than him because apparently he was already balling and touring events in Lagos.
Anyways, I told him that he should notify me of any fun upcoming events in Lagos. And vice versa. So sometime back in August, he sent a link to a Biker's event.
It was a new experience for me because I had never been to one. I didn't even know it was a thing, talk more of them having a whole association. When he sent me the flier, not gonna lie, I was a little confused.
The flyer said Bikers' Palmie and Jollof event. Palmie means palm wine, and we all know Jollof rice at this point. So after putting two and two together, I figured there would be bikers, palm wine and Jollof rice at the event... Right? Wrong😅
The event took place at Muri Okunola Park. I'm an introvert, so when I first showed at the venue, the size of the crowd was enough to send me into anxiety. There were at least 500 people there.
I was on the brink on turning back and going home. But I said No. We came all the way, so we are going to have fun. I called my friend, and was able to locate him. After I found him, the rest of the event went smoothly.
He took to a spot where they gave me some fries and fries beef. After we explored the place. It was sort of a trade fair, where multiple business set up their tent along the perimeter of the park. Then there was a stage where performers came to sing and hype up the crowd.
There were two spots where hundred of electric motor bikes were parked. Beside one of the parks, people gathered around a table tennis table, taking turns to play. Apparently my friend was playing with them when I called.
There was a station for face painting, but it was for children. I convinced the man to paint my face, at first he was skeptical, painting a grown adults' face wasn't what he came to do, but my friend spoke to him and he later agreed.
After exploring a little, we found our way to the stage. On our way there, a lady stopped us and advertised the "MyLagosApp" to us. An app that let's you know of the latest upcoming events in Lagos. Amazing!
We then went close to the stage and danced for the remainder of the evening. He later introduced me to some of his friends, I even joined a group chat.
Eventually the day came to an end, and I called it a night. I found my way home and was happy for an evening well spent!
