Today I am joining contest #271 from the Ladies of Hive community, in which we are invited to answer: "What have you decided to let go of in order to have a better year? Have you noticed any small gains yet? If it's too early, just share what you chose to post."

Every time a year ends, we reflect on the goals we achieved and those that did not come to fruition. I didn't want to set myself overly ambitious goals, as I want to focus on regaining my health, which remains at the top of my list of priorities. I am concentrating on not putting off my walks and hikes, as that is a serious mistake, since time is irretrievable. Every failure in this regard works against me. Procrastination should definitely not be a factor this year; I am going for consistency and discipline.

This year, I want to be more active in terms of physical exercise and follow healthier habits that will allow me to move forward with a clearer focus, because I want to find a place to settle in the word "well-being." Not just as a premise, but as a lifestyle. Sedentary habits must be left behind to make way for a new version of myself. This will also help me lose weight, which is great for greater agility when walking and jogging.

I am going to devote more time to my own affairs and not worry too much about things that are beyond my control and that I cannot solve. There are many circumstances that do not depend on me, and I must take care of my mental stability. Peace of mind is not negotiable, even if others try to steal it from you.

I believe that the walks I have taken this year have helped me breathe better, concentrate, and meditate. Every minute counts toward my recovery, and I am taking firm steps to achieve good results in 2026. If we set goals for ourselves in January, we will get off to a good start, and that is a good place to begin.

With regard to Hive, I have decided to be more consistent and publish more posts about recipes, health, and wellness, as well as some experiences visiting different places in and outside the city. This year, I want to take some trips that will allow me to enjoy new landscapes. That's why I need to focus on writing and avoid distractions from social media, especially looking at memes and alarmist news stories that turn out to be false.

I hope that in this new year I can better balance my time between work, my various household tasks, and my blog on Hive. This is an excellent platform for growing as content creators; all it takes is a little self-determination and enthusiasm to make it happen.

Cada vez que termina un año nos ponemos a reflexionar sobre las metas que cumplimos y las que no pudieron materializarse. No quise proponerme metas muy ambiciosas, pues deseo concentrarme en recuperar mi salud, lo cual continúa en la lista de prioridades. Me enfoco en no postergar mis paseos ni caminatas, ese es un grave error, pues el tiempo es irrecuperable. Cada falla en este sentido juega en mi contra. Definitivamente, la procrastinación no debe ser un término de este año, voy por constancia y disciplina.

Este año quiero estar más activa en cuanto al ejercicio físico, seguir hábitos más saludables que me permitan avanzar con un enfoque más claro, pues quiero encontrar en la palabra bienestar un lugar donde anidar. No solo como premisa sino como estilo de vida. Atrás debe quedar el sedentarismo para dar paso a una nueva versión de mí. Esto también me ayudará a perder peso, lo cual es genial para tener mayor agilizar al caminar y trotar.

Voy a dedicar más tiempo a mis asuntos y no me preocuparé demasiado con lo que no está a mi alcance y no puedo resolver. Hay muchas circunstancias que no dependen de mí y debo cuidar mi estabilidad mental. La tranquilidad no es un estado negociable, aunque otros pretendan robártelo.

Considero que las caminatas que he realizado este año me han ayudado a respirar mejor, concentrarme y meditar. Cada minuto cuenta para mi recuperación, voy con pasos firmes para lograr buenos resultados en este 2026. Si desde el mes de enero nos proponemos metas se empieza con buen pie y allí es un buen punto de partida.

Con respecto a Hive he decido ser más constante y realizar más publicaciones sobre recetas de cocina, salud y bienestar y algunas experiencias visitando diferentes lugares en la ciudad y fuera de ella. Este año quiero realizar algunos viajes que me permitan tener nuevos paisajes con los cuales deleitarme. De allí que deba enfocarme en escribir y evitar las distracciones de las redes sociales, sobre todo, mirar memes y noticias alarmistas que terminan siendo falsas.

Espero que en este nuevo año pueda equilibrar mejor mi tiempo entre el trabajo, las diferentes ocupaciones en el hogar y mi blog en Hive, esta es una excelente plataforma para crecer como creadores de contenido, solo basta un poco de autodeterminación y entusiasmo para hacerlo posible.
