Hello Hivers....

This post is my entry for the Black and White Photography Contest hosted by @Photofeed. If you'd like to participate, please read here
Fishing isn't just about catching fish; it's also an art form that fosters patience, serenity, and a connection with nature. The photo I'm sharing shows a fisherman standing on a rock with a long rod aimed out to sea. In black and white, this photo is rich in meaning: simple, serene, and reflective.

Before him, the vast ocean stretches out, waves lapping gently, and boats appear to pass far off on the horizon. Meanwhile, thick clouds hang in the sky, adding a dramatic touch, as if emphasizing that fishing isn't just about waiting, but also about embracing the uncertainties of nature.

Fishing, as depicted in this photo, is often a relaxing activity for many. Sitting or standing for hours on the shore, listening to the sound of the waves and hoping for a fish to take the bait, offers a soul-soothing experience. Often, this moment provides a time to reflect, regroup, and find a peace rarely found amidst the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Fishing at sea also teaches the value of patience. The catch isn't the ultimate goal, but rather the process of waiting patiently, while enjoying the beauty before our eyes. Silently, the angler seems to be conversing with himself, leaving the outcome to fate, while still striving.

This photo captures the essence of fishing: peaceful solitude, simple struggle, and communion with nature. On a rock, with the vast ocean before us, we seem to be invited to experience a serenity that only those who have waited for their hook to move in the waves can understand.

Important Note: I wrote in Indonesian, then translated it using Google Translate.
