The only advice that I can tell you about your possible visit to Porto, is to avoid the more "popular" anual periods. It could be a little bit crowded and disrupt, like in everywhere that happens, the true experience of the place.
Enjoy your sunny Sunday!

Thank you. A place that is so overrun with tourist I will always try to visit out of season… although it gets busier I hear throughout the year.
Thank you, enjoy your Sunday too. Here it is getting cloudy and the week will be rainy. Good for the seedlings in the garden I planted a few days ago.

I'm waiting to see a update post about your garden evolution and transformation!
Sometimes the rainy days are much more "fun" to me, since it gives me the perfect "excuse" to be more introspective and reflect a little bit about life things! 😅😅
Have a wonderful week, LB4!

I will post about the garden. Still haven’t done last seasons ones. Where I experimented in what can grow up here.
Haha… I think we all like that a little bit more nowadays.
Thank you so much.
Hope you are enjoying your week. I am, although busy and started the renovations on the kitchen floor.

I can't imagine the absolute "caos" that your kitchen must be... 😅That is going to be very rewarding! Positively sure about it!
Hahaha I emptied it all. Even took the fridge out. Just the kitchen cabinets and stove left.
The 100 year old wooden floor was mistreated. So I spend 3 days repairing and filling nail holes. And dents people made by walking over it with ice spikes under their shoes. Somebody in the past had sanded the floor but never finished or treated. So it was blacked when I moved in. Since then I scrubbed it somewhere last year.
Today I start the first sanding with orbital hand sander. It is about 20m2 of floor. I will create a checkerboard. So 3 coats of paint as too much damage. (Yes, I know… I would have left the wood and finished it properly, but it is not my call to make right now hahaha I will leave before winter)
Will post all renovations one day as I am documenting it. Photo and video. Just need time for it.
Have a lovely day 😊
That's definitely a real sidewalk restoration job! And just reading your description I can imagine the point you found yourself in.... It must be really badly treated. Nothing like rolling up your sleeves and getting down to work. Sometimes the work we have to do to fix things in our own way, and with our own labor, despite taking up a lot of time, and saving little money, (time vs. money) is very rewarding when we see what we've managed to do when we finish!
May everything go well with this project. I can't wait to see the checkerboard pattern of that floor.
Yep, it is a proper restoration of this old cabin. I have done the living room and dinning room floors and walls already. One bedroom is fully done. Kitchen walls and hallway too. Just the one floor and the staircase left. (There are some sneak peek photos in my snaps on PeakD)
Once finished we move hahaha the irony, right?
I love renovation and diy. It is so rewarding. Woodworking is a hobby next to many other things. Can’t wait to build a cabin one day…
Thank you so much.
Have a beautiful weekend and happy summer solstice ☀️
