CCC's Street Art Contest #269 - The three colorful totems/Os três totem coloridos, Alfragide, Portugal [Eng-Pt]
Good afternoon, friends!
Welcome to another post in the Street Art community!
On one of my walks, I came across a piece of street art that I hadn't seen before. I'm talking about three totems.
Totems are objects that serve to distinguish, venerate, or be emblematic or symbolic for others to see.
Usually, when we hear about totems, we associate them with Native American culture, and we perceive them as objects that are often slender and tall. They serve as a visual landmark. Tall, pointing to the sky, they are seen as something that stands out from the landscape.
And that's exactly what I saw. I was walking, and suddenly, from a small grassy area in an urban garden, I noticed these three very colorful structures emerging from the lush chlorophyll carpet!
Totems commonly connect people to a certain spiritual level, giving them a sense of connection and deepening their beliefs, their clan, and their homeland.
Totemism is a belief system in which those who practice it have a certain degree of kinship or mystical connection with a spiritual being, an animal, or even a plant.
On these three totems, the names of several children are visible, among some simple graphic elements, such as butterflies, flowers, cars, dragonflies, a group of houses, and children holding hands, as well as some feelings and words, such as “Friendship,” “Sun,” “Life,” and “Light.”
I believe that these small artistic elements mean a lot to those who built, designed, painted, and participated in them, as well as to those like me who are surprised when passing by them and stop to read and connect a little with Mother Earth.

Num dos meus passeios a pé, encontrei um elemento artístico de rua que ainda não tinha visto. Falo-vos de três totem.
Os totem são alguma coisas que serve e que é usado para distinguir, venerar, ou ser emblemático ou simbolo para ser visto pelos demais.
Normalmente quando ouvimos falar em totems, associamos a cultura indígena americana, e temos a percepção que é um objecto frequentemente esguio e alto. Servindo como que uma marca visual de pontuação. Alto que aponta ao céu, que é visto como algo que se destaca da paisagem.
E foi exactamente isso que eu tive. Estava a andar, e subitamente de um pequena área relvada de um jardim urbano, observei estas três estruturas muito coloridas que emergiam do frondoso tapete clorofílico!
Os totem comumente ligam as pessoas a um certo nível espiritual, dando-lhes uma conectividade e aprofundamento com as suas crenças, com o seu clã, e com a sua terra natal.
O totemismo é um sistema de crenças em que os homens que o utilizam têm de certa forma um grau de parentesco ou uma relação mística com um ser espiritual, com um animal ou mesmo com uma planta.
Nestes três totem, é visível o nome de várias crianças inscrito neles, por entre alguns elementos gráficos simples, como borboletas, , flores, carros, libelinhas, um conjunto de casas, e de crianças de mãos dadas, bem como alguns sentimentos e palavras, como "Amizade", "Sol", "Vida" e "Luz".
Acredito que estes pequenos elementos artísticos trazem muito a quem os construiu, idealizou, pintou, participou, e também, a tal como eu, que é surpreendido ao passar por eles, e que para para ler e estar um pouco ligado a mãe terra.
Espero que tenham gostado desta minha publicação um pouco diferente aqui neste concurso. Pelo menos, por original não fica atrás... Ahahah
