June's Top 10 New Hive-Friendly Subreddits That Can Boost Your Hive Link Sharing. HivePosh Weekly #26
The end of a month means it's time to look at new Hive-friendly subreddits active HivePoshers have discovered over the past 30 days. Let's get started!
A disclaimer: I mention a HivePosh user whose Hive link share proved the subreddit is Hive-friendly. However, I can't guarantee this user was the first. There is no bot to collect this data; all this has been done by hand, with the help of my memory which isn't flawless.
r/movies 🗣38M @theworldaroundme
A huge subreddit, and it looks like there are ways to draw the attention of this audience - look at this fantastic share:
The history of cinema. Worth keeping in mind.
r/artificial 🗣1.1M @theworldaroundme
Strangely, we didn't know this sub for a long while. Might be a good alternative to well-known r/ArtificialInteligence (1.5M). At least, @theworldaroundme managed to earn 1000+ upvotes there:
r/IndieGaming 🗣403K @tsnaks
A large sub where you can promote games:
When promoting a game or sharing development progress, please make only one submission every two weeks. Do not post the same content repeatedly.
Might be useful for Hive. If @holozing or @splinterlands has a promo contest, we know what subreddit to invade, lol. And another one:
r/gamedev 🗣1.9M @theworldaroundme
The subreddit covers various game development aspects, including programming, design, writing, art, game jams, postmortems, and marketing. It serves as a hub for game creators to discuss and share their insights, experiences, and expertise in the industry.
Another place to post about Hive games but read their rules related to self-promotion:
No Blatant Self Promotion - Context-Driven Link Sharing Only: Posts with only a link to social media, game pages, or similar will result in a ban. This community is not for self-promotion. However, links are allowed if they serve a valid purpose, such as seeking feedback, sharing a post mortem or analytics, sparking discussion, or offering a learning opportunity and knowledge related to game development. Sharing for feedback differs from pure self-promotion and is encouraged when it adds value to the community.
r/flags 🗣58K @x-rain
Flags are a super broad topic. And it is related to politics and news, and thus there is a change to generate great amount of views.
The share wasn't deleted by the sub but removed by Reddit's filters in 4 days after being posted - as I see it, this title didn't fit Reddit's political views and it was censored through word filtering despite the article being fully based on a survey.
r/history 🗣19M @uwelang
History works great on Reddit, we all know. @uwelang has added another historical subreddit to our Hive-friendly list, a huge one:
r/natureismetal 🗣2.4M @dkkfrodo
Show claws and fangs of nature! Good for STEM posts showcasing the power of nature, its brutality and beauty. Posts that show survival, predation, animal behavior, or extreme natural phenomena can work well in this sub.
r/shittyfoodporn 🗣2.5M @stekene
Greasy grey and brown food erupting with burned oil and covered with chemical mayo is welcomed! Please avoid anything green like vegetables!! 😁 This sub is fun. If you spend several minutes there, you can start uncontrollably laughing.
Easy to upset people, so... I'd recommend posting only stuff from your phone on Snaps rather than sharing cooking masterpieces of Hivers.
r/pussypassdenied 🗣547K @davideownzall
Welcome to /r/pussypassdenied, where women are not allowed to use their gender as a handicap or an excuse to act like assholes. Yay equality!
The subreddit is quite large but they have few posts, not even every day. Thus, it might be a good place for sharing some fun stories.
A share by @davideownzall:
A share by @stekene:
r/Feminism 🗣318K @flummi97
A decent share by @flummi97 but the potential of the sub is much, much bigger:

I'll add all these subs to our precious list quite soon! Thank you!
Have a wonderful HivePosh week, everyone! 🙂
@theworldaroundme, @uwelang, @davideownzall, @dkkfrodo, and @loading are getting 2% from this post as top 5 of HivePosh contest #33.
The drawing was generated with PeakD AI: https://peakd.com/ai
Thanks for the tags, it always makes my day a bit better whenever I'm tagged in one of these posts.
The whole Hive/Reddit game is so much fun for me, I truly enjoy it!
🙂👍 HivePosh probably needs a status of a web3 marketing game, lol - I mean we don't have a single interface but gamification is high - with scores and stats here and there + leaderboard and token POSH 😀
Thanks for mentioning me. Always happy when I manage to discover a hidden gem.
But don't forget for every gem discovered, I usually end up being banned in a couple of subreddits...
Redditposh is definitely an amusing gamification of promoting Hive. Kudos for the organisation!

Yes, exploring Reddit is time- and energy-consuming - searching, reading, analyzing, and sharing sometimes without success - premoderation, downvotes, deletion, ban - anything.
Thank you!
But fun as well :D

Fresh subreddits to try!
And new shiny bans to earn!
Lol!
Some subreddits don't deserve us. :-) Our shares can attract A LOT of subscribers for subreddits, which is the main goal for most of them.
Thanks for compiling new "interesting subs" - too add to this one:
I had way less views as the queen but several ok posts in that sub as well in the past 2 weeks
Thank you for sharing.
hi i just saw that you shared one of my Hive recipe posts on Reddit- pumpkin soup. this was done without my permission and nobody has my permission to share any of my posts except for my wife @hindavi whose user name on Reddit is MeetFull1177. a clear message to all HivePoshers and anybody else - do not share my posts
👍
Hi x-rain, thank you! just saw my husband's comment. I have very good respect for you and noticed you also do the same thing. Just want to tell you to make sure those new users, as well as experienced users in HivePosh, don't share hive-posh users' posts. Respect each other, be kind to each other, and keep the friendly and positive environment here in Hive-Posh.
Hey, @hindavi! Thank you! I personally never share links to posts of other HivePoshers except in several cases when I saw a share was deleted early so I tried to share it as well.
But I can't require others to follow the same pattern of behavior as there are rules of HivePosh, allowing anyone to share anything, and I obey them - especially because I am paid for sharing links - when I am paid, I follow the rules and don't speak in ultimatums until I am going to quit.
If someone shares your posts, you can politely ask this person not to do so - I am sure it will work in most cases.
When someone just shared your post and you didn't, hurry up to share it too as soon as possible within 24h - otherwise, you risk not getting the reward. But choose another subreddit. It would be good for you to learn alternative subreddits for such cases and just in general. For example, if someone shared a link to your post in r/veganrecipes, you can try sharing in www.reddit.com/r/VeganFoodPorn or www.reddit.com/r/EatCheapAndVegan or any other recipe subreddit.
Thank you very much for the clarification. I appreciate it. Have a nice trip to Nepal. And now nice weekend. :)
Thank you! Have a great weekend too!
Hello @eolianpariah2, and @hindavi, unfortunately, not everyone will see your message here, so there’s still a chance someone might unknowingly share your post. It’s also not against HivePosh rules. The system allows posts to be shared by everyone a few times, so even if your post has already been shared, others can still share it, and you'll still earn 100% from your own share. Plus, you can earn even more if others share it elsewhere.
I had the same issue before, so I now plan where I want to share the post on Reddit before publishing it on Hive. Then, share it on Reddit immediately after it's published, so you've already chosen the subreddit you want it to go to before anyone else shares it. You might also consider leaving a comment on your post to let others know you'd prefer it not be shared.
Hope this helps!
Very good idea 💡 thanks for everything 🙏
Thank you for the appreciation!
You are most welcome bro

#hive #posh
Thank you!
Welcome
This is such a goldmine of Hive x Reddit synergy! I don’t know who needs to hear this, but if you’re not taking notes from this list, you’re leaving potential engagement, visibility, and connections on the table.
Big respect to all the Hive legends like @theworldaroundme, @uwelang, @stekene, @davideownzall, and others dropping these gems, y’all are basically the cartographers of Hive’s expansion into Reddit. And r/shittyfoodporn? 😂 Pure chaotic genius. That’s peak meme potential waiting to be unleashed.
Now, real talk, this made me realize I want to get more hands-on with Reddit myself. But, not gonna lie, the app confuses me sometimes (all those nested comments and weird rules feel like trying to sneak into a nightclub wearing crocs).
So here's me shooting my shot: if you’re open to it, how can we stay in touch so I can learn from you? Maybe Discord? Twitter? Even email? I’d love a bit of mentorship to figure out how to navigate Reddit better, post smart, avoid bans, and just vibe with the community. Plus, would be awesome to connect beyond the posts—Hive fam growing stronger together, right?
Let me know what works for you, and thanks again for this fire drop. Absolute masterpiece.🔥
Hey!
I am by far no Hive legend ;p
You can just ask me questions here / on discord: @stekene as well (I am present in several hive discords).
What works and what doesn’t is mainly trial and error by the way, atleast that's my feeling. I suffer bans by trying out. My main tip would be: try not to spam too much!
That's great thank you
Lol, I even thought we should start such (a tiny) contest for fun somewhere in Snaps on Peakd :D
This is true. :)
Start with reading comments in posts of HivePosh Weekly and HivePosh contest - people share everything there. As for general information, you can read this. If you don't understand something - ask in the comments section in the last HivePosh contest - I am tagged a bit too often nowadays so I can potentially miss replies in older posts - commenting in the last HivePosh post is the best way to ensure I'll read and answer.
Noted sir 😇
Just saw this: Hive Protector in this sub: r/buecher/
Hive Protector: https://developers.reddit.com/apps/hive-protect
Thank you - I didn't have an opportunity to read about Hive Protector.
I was banned in r/ICE_Raids by means of it, recently - right after I shared a link there. Then I wrote them, and a mod said sorry for this auto ban and unbanned me.
On one hand, that can defend small communities from crowds or haters and at the same time they will definitely use this tool to drive non-supporters of Demparty agenda away from Reddit, like, "if you shared a link in r/Republican, you won't see pictures of cats in our subreddit" as you are a "fascist". Quite real -- I saw a screenshot of some Reddit guy who was banned in a non-political subreddit for posting in a Libertarian meme subreddit since this Libertarian sub, as it was told, posts inappropriate political jokes.
