Imagine you're the DJ and I'm your audience.
I'm pretty sure you've heard a lot of anime songs or are you always skipping the OST? 😅 Hopefully, you still listen to the songs every now and then because they're gems!
For the theme:
It should be an anime song, of course. Old or new, anything is fine as long as it suits with the theme.
Tell us an anime song that would make you think of stars and wishes!
Or maybe a good background song when wishing upon the stars...?

My pick for the "Stars and Wishes" theme this time is The Blessing (Shukufuku) by YOASOBI.
This song is perfect as an encouragement song for yourself who is full of hope. The lyrics about reaching for the stars and determining your own future are really strong.

As a huge fan of both YOASOBI and the Gundam franchise in general, this song was like a dream collaboration for me. I'm so glad you think it fits the theme perfectly.
Since you already love the song, you should definitely give The Witch from Mercury a watch when you have time. It's a fantastic Gundam series, and it makes the lyrics hit even harder.

Ahhhhh so this one is from this anime? I've been encountering this song lately, but I never thought it was an anime song. I really like songs from Yoasobi... and there's also that certain song from them that made me think of stars and hope, however it isn't an anime song. But still I like it and I often listen to it ^v^

Yes, that's right! This song is the opening for the anime Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury. It's a surprise for many, but the lyrics fit the anime's theme perfectly. Oh, a fellow YOASOBI fan! "Kaibutsu" is a masterpiece, no wonder it's a favorite. To be honest, I love all of their songs hahaha.
Haha trueeee! Their songs are all nice, but some were so memorable that I sometimes can't get them out of my head ;) The voice of their singer was just full of emotions, plus all of their songs are just so catchy to the point that even those non-Yoasobi fans make dance covers on them, not knowing that behind those boppy tunes were heartbreaking lyrics—that Yoru ni Kakeru especially!
Hahaha, I totally agree! You've completely captured yoasobi magic formula. The music is super catchy and makes you want to dance, but when you read the lyrics... they're deep and often tragic. And Yoru ni Kakeru is the most perfect example! So many people don't realize how dark that song is, right? Because the melody is just so good. That's what makes them geniuses.
True, true...yes, most of the people I knew who danced to its tune aren't familiar with the story behind the song. Well, I can't blame them for doing so because that song was definitely so catchy and even lively, but it's kinda unsettling seeing them dance merrily while knowing how grim and sad the message of the song is—and for that, Yoasobi are geniuses indeed haha!
Although this song is not the main theme song of the anime, it conveys powerful emotions and gives listeners goosebumps.

I felt the same way when I heard it for the first time.
The song first came up to my mind is a opening song from the anime "Fruits Basket", it's an amazing song with beautiful lyrics. It really sets up the mood whenever I hear this song my heart flutters. I think it will probably go with the scenario.

My choice seems to fall on the song titled HIKARU NARA (If Shining), this song from Goose House has a cheerful melody that makes me excited when I listen to it. Even more so when I know the lyrics, it really makes me even more excited. This song is also one of the OSTs from the Anime Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso, an anime that tells the story of the struggle of two school students who fight their illnesses in order to achieve their dreams. I think you should listen to and also reflect on the meaning of this song, because it will grow your spirit with full emotion.

Stars and wishes... well, there are a lot of anime songs that came to my mind, but this one definitely made me think of a night sky filled with tiny stars—a hope despite the despondency I sometimes felt. It's Closer from Naruto opening btw.

I really love this song!
I chose this song for "Stars and Wishes" because it feels like a soft whisper to the stars. When I listen to it, I imagine myself standing under the vast night sky. And the song reminds me that even the smallest wishes can shine.
I'm going to choose a song from "Apothecary diaries" this anime is very special from me because the storyline touches my heart and more than that the song is so inspiring I get positive vibes from it. I think it perfectly fits to the theme because of the tune.
