When we are young and can't do much, our parents make sacrifices so we can be comfortable, and we learn from them in the process. As we grow, we implement what we have learned from them.

I like that you and your younger brother have agreed to do the housework.

Don't feel bad that your cooking is not like your mum's own. You can still cook, and the food will taste great. You can continue to learn from her to improve your cooking skills.
