The Jakarta Kota, One Of Big Train Station

Hello ASEAN Buddies...

I rarely take the commuter train (KRL) because the train line is far from my house or office, so I almost never use the commuter train to travel. However, if I have to travel far away, I can use the commuter train because it shortens my travel time and avoids getting stuck in traffic.

So, this is a station I rarely stop at because I'm never on a trip that requires a transfer there. But this time, Jakarta Kota Station was closer to my destination, Kota Tua. I was accompanying my friend to have fun in Kota Tua.

Jakarta Kota Station is one of the major stations in Jakarta. Many people stop here for transit. Located near Kota Tua, Jakarta Kota Station is one of the buildings left over from the Dutch colonial era.

Jakarta Kota Station was originally called Batavia-Benedenstad Station, after Jakarta's former name, Batavia, before being renamed. After the colonial era ended, the station became known as Jakarta Kota. Interestingly, the name also refers to Surabaya Kota Station. The Jakarta city government has kept it unchanged over the years so everyone can experience history through Jakarta Kota Station.

Jakarta Kota Station is still under maintenance, meaning improvements are being made to various areas. However, what's interesting about this station is its high ceilings. This is a unique feature of Jakarta Kota Station, unlike any other station. There are numerous food and beverage outlets at the entrance. I saw people enjoying themselves everywhere. I also really liked the atmosphere there; it was busy but very conducive.

These two photos are a rare moment. You know, the electric train is very busy, so seeing one stop for a long time is a rare moment. Not to mention seeing the electric train officers praying solemnly before starting work. It's a precious moment to watch the officers do their jobs.

Jakarta Kota Station is the largest station in Jakarta. I was delighted to be able to stop by and see this piece of Jakarta's history for free. I've lived in Jakarta for a long time, and I've passed this station from the outside, but entering it was a new experience for me.

What do you think?

Hi, Halo, Annyeong! Welcome to my galaxy.

I have so much imagination in my head. Something that I can't achieve as a human and as a girl. So writing is very challenging. Since Junior High School, I have written whatever I want to write. Without skill, I just write what I want to read. Now I have 12th published novels and all of those are romance.
Yeah, I proudly say that I am a passionate author, traveler wannabe, and blogger.
