CRAZY MATCHA FESTIVAL, ASTHA MALL
Hello ASEAN Buddies...
I've been really into matcha lately, and this festival seems to support my newfound passion. I've also wondered why people like matcha so much. At first, I didn't think it was anything special. But when I wanted something sweet but not coffee with milk or a latte, I chose matcha. Until then, the matcha I'd been drinking was low-quality, just sweetened milk, until I went to a restaurant that only served matcha. That's where I became impressed with matcha. Real matcha doesn't have a sweet taste; if I were to say it wasn't delicious, it tasted like grass. But that's where I fell in love, because I wasn't just faced with sweetness.
So, when I found out about the matcha festival, I was so curious that I couldn't resist going. It just so happened that I had a day off on the second day of the festival, so I had no excuse not to go. So, I went to Astha Mall, where the festival was being held.
It turned out… even though it was held on a weekday, the Matcha Festival was incredibly crowded. The mall was packed, and I even had trouble finding a seat. But that's okay, I really enjoyed browsing the matcha stalls. I rarely visit this mall anyway, so this was a rare opportunity. Astha Mall has a unique design.
Many Matcha outlets had long lines, and I assumed they were selling delicious Matcha. However, I was incredibly impatient and didn't want to wait in line. There were lines everywhere, making it difficult for me to get through, moving from one outlet to another. But I loved watching the baristas make Matcha. They were so cool when they melted the Matcha powder in a ceramic bowl with their broom-like tools.
Normally, I don't like being in crowds, especially in a setting that involves a crowd. But for this particular festival, I put all my fears aside, and it turned out quite well. I also enjoyed being alone in the crowd. I got to see the captivating green colors. I could observe how people were enjoying their happiness through Matcha. This festival was very enjoyable. I'm thinking about returning to the Matcha festival if it ever happens again.
What do you think?

Hi, Halo, Annyeong! Welcome to my galaxy.
I have so much imagination in my head. Something that I can't achieve as a human and as a girl. So writing is very challenging. Since Junior High School, I have written whatever I want to write. Without skill, I just write what I want to read. Now I have 12th published novels and all of those are romance.
Yeah, I proudly say that I am a passionate author, traveler wannabe, and blogger.
Sending you an Ecency vote! 👍😊✨
I love how you shared your journey from trying low quality sweetened matcha to discovering the real taste. It's amazing how a festival can make you appreciate the art and culture behind something as simple as matcha.
