Although I am not Korean, I have always had a genuine interest in Korean culture, so I am glad to be able to read about the country in this community!

In terms of engagement, some ideas:

• You could post some kind of curation overview of great korean posts (eventually award them hsbi or so)
• Ask people to reblog / tag some friends when announcing contests like this one to spread more awareness
• Actively hunt on chain for tags like #kr or #korean to find people who already write about Korea in a broad sense and point them to your community
• Organize a contest for the person(s) who comments the most (quality) comments to stimulate engagement
• Maybe later on when the community has some more traction a photo contest?
• Try to get support / collaboration from other curation initiatives to be able to give decent upvotes to the articles in your community
• Spread the word on snaps / threads / waves. People there often like to engage
• Set up a curation account where people could delegate to and earn their curation rewards. This way you could support the community and pay back the delegators.
• Give a prompt which people could write about in a timespan of a week. Hand out hsbi for the best articles (for example)
• A meme contest about Korea, although memes could become unrespectful sometimes so take care about that.

If i may suggest... a Korean food contest! I think Korean food is one of the most popular international cuisine over here in Southeast asia and I know that can relate to it. Over here in Singapore, there's a touch of Korean cuisine in every food centers and supermarkets here so I wouldn't have a problem sharing the ones the I frequently go to. Cheers!
