A esa hora no siempre estoy haciendo algo importante.

Small Things That Sustain Me #01 by @veramfund.
Hello community @ladiesofhive, I’m back with you for the first chapter of Small Things That Sustain Me.
The light that enters at five.

There is an hour of the day that usually doesn’t appear in plans or schedules, but for me, it has become a refuge. It is five in the afternoon, when the light enters at an angle through the window and gently touches the walls, without wanting to interrupt anything. It is not strong or definitive light. It is light that caresses me.
At that hour, I am not always doing anything important. Sometimes I am just sitting, watching how the shadows move and how the day begins to say goodbye. And in that simple gesture, I find something that sustains me. Not because it solves everything, but because it reminds me that not everything has to be solved today.
I have learned that small things can also be anchors. The light that enters at five, a cup of coffee cooling while I think, a quiet street after the rain, a well-formed shadow on the ground. They are minimal details, but they bring me back to my body, to the present, to myself.
For a long time, I believed that holding on was just enduring. Now I understand that holding on is also sitting, observing, breathing, and allowing yourself moments like this. Letting something as simple as light remind me that I am still here, that this moment also counts.
Not every day is clear, and not all emotions arrive with a name. But when the light enters at five, even if only for a few minutes, I feel the world lower its volume and allow me to simply be. And that, for me, is more than enough.
Thank you very much for reading.
