Even those "necessary and optional cookies" pop-ups present on most websites can be annoying !INDEED. 🀯

savvyplayer, you mined 0.9 🟧 HBIT and the user you replied to (tydynrain) received 0.1 HBIT on your behalf as a tip. You can receive 100% of the HBIT by replying to one of your own posts or comments. When you mine HBIT, you're also playing the Wusang: Isle of Blaq game. πŸ΄β€β˜ οΈ | tools | wallet | discord | community | daily <><

What's more, you found 1.0 βšͺ BLAQ pearl as a bonus treasure token!

Your random number was 0.1778489781516429, also viewable in the Discord server, #hbit-wusang-log channel. Check for bonus treasure tokens by entering your username at block explorer A, explorer B, or take a look at your wallet.

There is a treasure chest of bitcoin sats hidden in Wusang: Isle of Blaq. Happy treasure hunting! πŸ˜ƒ Read about Hivebits (HBIT) or read the story of Wusang: Isle of Blaq.

Yep, indeed, though there are more and less annoying ways to implement such messages. πŸ˜πŸ™πŸ’šβœ¨πŸ€™

We can say that it is a "dark pattern" for websites (and other platforms) to have attention-catching ads (and other call-to-action notices) that are not annoying enough to make the user leave the page or not return. 🀯

That sounds like a great business model, make a website that's just tolerable enough to not leave permanently. πŸ˜πŸ™πŸ’šβœ¨πŸ€™

Doesn't matter to me, as I'm already very picky about websites, and I don't tolerate nonsense. πŸ˜πŸ™πŸ’šβœ¨πŸ€™

There's the fact that even good website owners are forced to put (mostly annoying) cookie usage notices to comply with GDPR, even if the websites themselves are not located in Europe. 🀯

And why do they have to comply then? 😁 πŸ™ πŸ’š ✨ πŸ€™

Probably because they don't want to run into any issue while serving their websites to European visitors !INDEED. 🀯🀯

Censorship has become the norm in many areas of Europe sadly, and I don't see any good in going along with such nonsense. If people want to get to a site, there are always ways. 😁 πŸ™ πŸ’š ✨ πŸ€™

Such regulations caused what is known as "(cookie) pop-up hell" on a lot of websites, especially those sites who use Content Management Systems (CMS). πŸ€―πŸ€―πŸ€“

People could just stop complying with all the stupid 'laws' that particular countries or States have at any particular time. πŸ˜πŸ™πŸ’šβœ¨πŸ€™

I assume that most (if not all) of the sites within the #Qortal network don't have such cookie notice pop-ups or similar !INDEED. πŸ€”πŸ€“

Maybe the "cookie pop-ups" on (some) #Qortal sites simply say "this site does not use cookies" !INDEED! πŸ€”πŸ€―πŸ˜†

Other than transaction-confirmation popups, I've never seen any other sort of popup on Qortal. πŸ˜πŸ™πŸ’šβœ¨πŸ€™

That makes me assume that people having sites on #Qortal know that pop-ups are annoying !INDEED, so they know to avoid using them as much as possible. πŸ€”πŸ˜ŽπŸ˜

The absence of any annoying site on #Qortal (based on your comments) would likely encourage people (knowledgeable in computers) to join the Qortal network and explore Qortal sites! πŸ€”πŸ˜ŽπŸ˜

Indeed, I agree, though the present iteration of Qortal websites don't have any dynamic content, so in terms of websites, they'd probably be considered pretty boring and plain. πŸ˜πŸ™πŸ’šβœ¨πŸ€™

Do you mean that every change in any page on #Qortal sites must be performed manually by its owner? πŸ€”πŸ€― I presume that dynamic site support in #Qortal is under development or at least being actively planned. 😎😏

Any site updates must be made by the owner/creator, and it's basically just copying a newer version over the previous version. Well, Qortal is very much about privacy and not running dangerous code, which makes most flashy website implementations undesirable. πŸ˜πŸ™πŸ’šβœ¨πŸ€™

I wonder if there are talks on #Qortal about an opt-in feature where users can choose to see dynamic sites at the expense of (slightly) lower security !INDEED. πŸ€”πŸ€―πŸ€“

Well, that's a mute point at the moment, because there is no present infrastructure on Qortal yet to support dynamic websites. πŸ˜πŸ™πŸ’šβœ¨πŸ€™

Either #Qortal or Hive makes your previous comment still accurate !INDEED. πŸ€”πŸ€“

Right now, including JavaScript on posts and comments here (or maybe including Hive transfer memos) on Hive would cause one or more bots to review the content for "possible malicious code". 🀯🀯🀯
