In my case, whenever I perform "random" website browsing, any page that has a pop-up that covers most (if not all) of the content often gets a quick "Close tab" from me (Ctrl-W on a desktop/laptop computer) !INDEED. 🤯😆

We can say that it is a "dark pattern" for websites (and other platforms) to have attention-catching ads (and other call-to-action notices) that are not annoying enough to make the user leave the page or not return. 🤯

There's the fact that even good website owners are forced to put (mostly annoying) cookie usage notices to comply with GDPR, even if the websites themselves are not located in Europe. 🤯
