LOH #265; Me, age, and various things around it
Imagine being a woman in my country, where there are standards for when it is normal for them to get married. If you are not married by the age of 30, you will receive negative views. Because not being married by 30 means you are stigmatised as a problematic woman, or an unattractive woman. Even worse, if you are a woman over 30 and not married, you will be considered “past your prime”. Sad? Very!
So now I am 34 years old. And I am not married. If asked how I feel about my age, whether I feel younger or older, I think I am indeed 34 years old. I feel like a 34-year-old woman who is not married. And this question about “feelings” certainly brings up many aspects. For example, as I wrote above about society's standards for women getting married, of course my feelings can change.
Sometimes I can feel older than my age in certain matters, such as my views on morality and social issues, and sometimes I also feel younger than my age when it comes to matters concerning my body. I am only 150 cm tall. By standard measurements, I am considered short and have a younger-looking face. No! I'm not the one saying this. These are the words of my friends, or people I've just met. Recently, when I attended a literacy event, I sat with one of the audience members from X University. She was born in the 2000s and thought I was the same age as them. Actually, I don't really agree or feel that their assumption is correct. It's just that, because the people around me also don't think I'm a millennial, I've come to believe that maybe I am allowed to feel a little younger when it comes to my face.But my true feelings remain the same.
Overall, I feel like my age. Just right. No more, no less.That's why I don't mind if someone asks about my age when we're first introduced. Yes, I live my life and accept it. I feel like a 34-year-old who is not married, and of course I don't feel that I am bad, undesirable, or past my prime. I am just a 34-year-old human being living my life as best I can.

THAT...was a perfect way to say it!
To live in a Country that see things the way they do about a woman and marrige can't be easy.
We are all different, som want to get married early and have kids, others doesn't feel ready and have other things they want to accomplish first. Whatever makes you happy is the right thing to do.
I think you have a wonderful life point of view and a lot of positive energy 🩷 just keep being YOU and live life as you want.
And our Age.. You are allowed to feel as old or young as you want, and act how you want.
