My Sketchquest Entry: Family and Food

Hey dtiys community and Sketchquest friends

I am super hyped to share my entry for the #Sketchquest drawing contest of @quatro. For this entry, I actually got inspired by my own family while we were having dinner. It was our favorite chicken place, and of course, lots of cold sweet drinks and coffee for the adults.

I wanted to capture that fun and rare times we have this dish, and that busy energy of eating out with family. You know, everyone doing their own thing but still together because you know mom would always say to focus or put it down. My mom is on the left, looking happy and ready to eat, and that's my older brother being goofy and making a I am making a sign with my fingers for the camera. My dad took the photo is in there somewhere, grabbing his drink. I tried to show all the little details on the table, like our favorite chicken, mom is craving for her pie, and all our drinks.

It took me a longer time to get everyone's vibe right plus I had to put this aside coz I am also busy offline, but I think it turned out pretty cool, I really like the warm and cool colors together which I doubted at first, like the red chair and the green table. Sometimes real life moments make the best drawings, even if they're a little chaotic of course these are not the real life colors.
